**Chapter 1: The Oops Moment**

Part 1

Nick and Charlie were playing wrestling in Nick's living room, rolling around on the soft carpet, laughing and having a great time. Nick drew his pillow and swung it at Charlie, who was trying to pin him down. Charlie suddenly winced in pain, clutching his side. "What's the matter, honey?" Nick asked, concern etched on his face. "Nothing," Charlie said, trying to brush it off, covering his side with his hand. Nick gently lifted Charlie's shirt, revealing a small scratch on his side. Charlie's eyes widened, and he tried to quickly pull his shirt back down. "What happened?" Nick asked, his curiosity piqued. Charlie sighed, looking embarrassed. "I...I don't know if I can tell you. It's kind of embarrassing." Nick's eyes sparkled with amusement, but he tried to look serious. "Come on, you can tell me. We're best friends, right?" Charlie hesitated, then let out a deep breath. "I was playing rugby earlier, and I slid down the cement floor...and I was in front of your little sister...and I yelled...Jesus Merlin of Beard...and of Francis...Zeus in Harold." Nick's eyes widened, and he covered his mouth, trying his best not to laugh. Charlie's face turned bright red with embarrassment. "It's not funny," Charlie said, crossing his arms. "I know, I know, I know," Nick said, still trying to stifle a grin. "Sorry, sorry." Charlie glared at him, his face still flushed. Nick couldn't help but tease him a bit. "Aww, poor baby, did you get a boo-boo?" Nick asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Do you want me to kiss it better?" Charlie looked up at Nick, his eyes still grumpy, but a hint of a smile played on his lips. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. Nick chuckled and said, "Come here." Charlie hesitated for a moment before getting up and walking over to Nick, who was still sitting on the floor. Nick gently pulled Charlie down beside him and examined the scratch again. "It's not too bad," Nick said, relief washing over him. "But I think I need to clean it up for you." Charlie nodded, still looking a bit sheepish. Nick got up and grabbed a first-aid kit from the bathroom, and they sat back down on the floor together. As Nick began to clean and bandage the scratch, Charlie couldn't help but think about how embarrassing this whole situation was. He had always been a bit of a clumsy athlete, but yelling out a weird phrase in front of Nick's little sister was just mortifying. But as he looked over at Nick, who was taking care of him with a gentle smile, Charlie felt a warmth in his heart. He knew he could always count on Nick to be there for him, no matter what.
