**Chapter 62: The Spark of Excitement**
Part 62
The announcement had barely finished, but Deku and I had already exchanged a thrilled glance. A sports festival? It was like a national tradition, where the entire country tuned in to watch the students of U.A. High School showcase their Quirks and athletic prowess. "We have to train our hardest!" I exclaimed, my eyes shining with determination. Deku grinned, his face lighting up with excitement. "Yea!" We both giggled, our enthusiasm infectious. But not everyone shared our excitement. Bakugo and Osby exchanged a skeptical look, their faces twisted in a mixture of disdain and jealousy. They gave us glares, but Deku and I just laughed, oblivious to their scowls. Just then, Kirishima piped up, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, Vesper, when do you want to go on that date?" I felt a flutter in my chest as I met his gaze. "We can do it today," I replied, trying to sound casual. Kirishima's face broke into a wide smile. "Awesome, I know just where to go!" I quickly excused myself and headed to my room to get ready. I slipped into a beautiful white dress, feeling like a princess. Mina poked her head into my room, her eyes widening in admiration. "You look pretty, Vesper!" Tsu and Ochaco chimed in, their voices filled with agreement. "You look cute!" they said in unison. I blushed, feeling a little shy but also happy. Kirishima, meanwhile, had transformed into a dashing figure, wearing a sleek suit that accentuated his features. When I walked up to him, he let out a low whistle. "Wow, you look beautiful," he said, his eyes roving over my dress. I smiled, feeling a little self-conscious. "Thanks, you look handsome as well." We both blushed, our faces flushing with embarrassment. Osby, Bakugo, Deku, Kaminari, and Todoroki, who had been watching us from the sidelines, also thought I looked pretty, but they didn't say anything, content to simply observe. With Kirishima by my side, we headed out to grab some food, the others trailing behind us. As we walked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and happiness. Today was going to be a great day.
