"A Sincere Apology"

Part 50

"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry, I didn't know what I was doing and I just don't know," I said, my voice shaking as tears began to well up in my eyes. I felt like I was going to cry at any moment, and the sadness on my face must have been evident. My friends looked at me in shock, their expressions softening as they took in my emotional state. Bakugo's angry face faltered, and he looked at me with a mixture of surprise and concern. Todoroki's eyes narrowed slightly, but his expression was no longer accusatory. Shinso's grin had disappeared, replaced by a look of genuine surprise. Kirishima and Kaminari looked at me with concern, their faces etched with worry. "Hey, it's okay," Todoroki said, taking a step closer to me. "We're not mad at you, we're just...surprised." He placed a hand on my shoulder, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and regret. I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. "I feel like I messed everything up," I said, my voice cracking. "I don't know what Deku is thinking, or what he wants from me. I just...I don't know." Bakugo's expression turned thoughtful, and he looked at me with a critical eye. "You really didn't mean to kiss him, did you?" he asked, his voice softer than before. I shook my head, feeling a lump form in my throat. "No, I didn't mean to. It just happened, and I don't know why. I feel like I've ruined everything." Shinso spoke up, his voice gentle. "It's not like you meant to hurt anyone, right? You just...needed to figure some things out." He looked at me with a thoughtful expression, and I felt a surge of gratitude towards him. I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe they weren't as mad at me as I thought. Maybe they could understand where I was coming from. Kirishima spoke up, his voice hesitant. "Do you think Deku...likes you?" he asked, his eyes wide with curiosity. I blushed, feeling my face heat up. "I don't know," I admitted. "I have no idea. But I need to talk to him, to figure out what's going on." Bakugo nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, you do. We'll support you, no matter what happens." He looked at me with a determined expression, and I felt a surge of gratitude towards him. I smiled weakly, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe, just maybe, I could get through this after all.
