The Dark Descent Continues

Part 4

Rachel stood up, her pants still down around her ankles, and began to walk away from the girl as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. She didn't look back, didn't even glance over her shoulder to see if the girl was still lying there, her face smeared with feces. The alleyway seemed to grow darker and more menacing as she walked away, the shadows deepening into abysses that seemed to swallow her whole. As she disappeared into the night, the girl's eyes flickered open, and she sat up with a slow, mechanical movement. She looked around, taking in her surroundings, but her gaze seemed distant, unfocused. She stood up, brushing off her clothes, and began to walk away from the alleyway, back to her home and her husband. She walked through the front door, her eyes fixed on the bedroom, where her husband lay asleep in bed. She smiled to herself, feeling a surge of love and affection for him, and padded softly over to the bed. She leaned over, her face inches from his, and began to pepper him with kisses. Her husband stirred, murmuring something incoherent, as she kissed him again and again. But he didn't notice, didn't even flinch, as her lips left brown blotches on his face and neck. The girl was too sleepy, too caught up in her own thoughts, to notice either. She just kept kissing him, her face smeared with the remnants of Rachel's filth. As she finished her kisses, the girl climbed into bed beside her husband, snuggling up close to him. She felt a wave of sleep wash over her, and her eyes drooped, closing slowly. Her husband stirred, wrapping his arms around her, holding her close. As they lay there, the girl's face inches from her husband's, a second curse seemed to take hold of her, a dark and malevolent force that wrapped itself around her like a shroud. It was a curse that would change her, that would twist her mind and body in ways she couldn't even begin to imagine. And as they slept, the darkness closed in around them, a suffocating shroud that threatened to consume them both. The girl's face, still smeared with feces, seemed to glow with an otherworldly light, a beacon of corruption that would draw in all who crossed their path. The night had only just begun, and already, the darkness was spreading, infecting all it touched.
