Chapter 68: Unspoken Arrangements
Part 67
As we stood there, still basking in the warmth of the moment, Mina suddenly interrupted, her voice cutting through the air. "Wait, where is Osby going to sleep at?" she asked, a mischievous glint in her eye. I hesitated, realizing that I hadn't actually thought about it. "I actually don't know," I admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed. Ochaco, who had been quietly observing the scene, suddenly smiled and chimed in. "Well, I guess he's sleeping in your room then! He is your shadow, anyways!" she exclaimed, a sly grin spreading across her face. Osby's face immediately flushed, and he looked away, trying to play it cool. "I don't care," he muttered, his voice low and rough. But I could sense the turmoil brewing inside him. His mind was racing, and I could hear his thoughts loud and clear. He was trying to act nonchalant, but I knew he was secretly panicking. I, on the other hand, was also feeling a bit flustered. I could hear my own thoughts echoing in my mind, and I knew that Osby could hear them too. It was as if our minds were connected, and I could sense his emotions resonating with mine. Osby's eyes darted towards me, and I could see the surprise and curiosity in his gaze. He was clearly not expecting this, and I could sense his confusion. The air was thick with tension as we stood there, the only sound the quiet hum of the evening. I could feel Osby's eyes on me, and I knew that he could feel mine on him too. It was as if we were both waiting for something to happen, for some unseen force to push us closer together. And then, without a word, Osby turned and walked towards my room, his shoulders slumped in defeat. I watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I knew that this was just the beginning of something new, something that would change the dynamics of our relationships forever.
