"Love Beyond the Senses"
Part 1
As I sat in my high school classroom, I felt like a tiny boat adrift in a stormy sea. Every sound, every movement, every scent overwhelmed me. My severe autism spectrum disorder made me hypersensitive to everything around me, and being blind in both eyes only added to the chaos. I closed my eyes, or rather, I didn't have to, since they were already shut, and tried to focus on the calmness within. But it was hard to find peace when my mind was a jumble of thoughts and emotions. My age regression had taken a toll on my life, making me mentally like a newborn baby. I relied on my caregivers to help me with everyday tasks, and sometimes, even simple things like eating or walking felt like monumental challenges. But amidst all this turmoil, there was one person who brought me solace, one person who made me feel seen and loved. Hange, the captain of the football team and heir to the royal dragon emperor, had been my boyfriend for as long as I could remember. We were high school sweethearts, and I couldn't imagine a life without him. His strong arms and gentle touch made me feel safe, like I was home. As class ended, Hange wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close to his big, muscular chest. "Hey, little star," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm to my frazzled nerves. I leaned into him, feeling his warmth and love. But as we stood there, Hange's gaze fell upon something that made his expression change from one of affection to one of concern. He looked at the diaper I was wearing, and I knew he had finally realized the truth. Due to my mental age, I couldn't control my bladder, and wearing a diaper was a necessity. Hange's voice was gentle as he said, "It's time to change your diaper, my little star." I felt a flush rise to my cheeks, but I didn't care. I knew I needed his help, and I was grateful for it. He gently laid me down on my specialized changing table, a device that was designed to make it easier for my caregivers to attend to my needs. As he changed my diaper, I felt a sense of vulnerability wash over me, but Hange's touch was reassuring. He handled me with care, like I was a precious treasure. After changing my diaper, Hange turned his attention to the medical equipment attached to my chest. I had undergone multiple heart surgeries, and the dragon council, who had approved of our relationship, had arranged for me to receive the best medical care possible. Hange gently changed the bandages around the equipment, his fingers deft and careful. As he finished, I looked up at him, or rather, I looked in the direction of his voice. "I love you, Hange," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I love you too, little star," he replied, his voice full of emotion. "We're going to get married soon, and you'll be my empress." The thought of our upcoming wedding made me smile. The dragon council had given their blessing, and I knew that Hange's family, the royal dragons, would accept me as one of their own. As I basked in Hange's love and affection, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was home.
