Chapter as I stepped into my house, a wave of nostalgia washed over me, memories of the 4 hotels and our life together flooding my mind. I had been away for what felt like an eternity, and now that I was back, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The air seemed heavier, the shadows cast by the furniture twisting into menacing shapes that seemed to move of their own accord. The scent of old books and fresh coffee wafted through the air, transporting me back to our lazy Sunday mornings spent reading and sipping coffee together.

Part 5

I began to search the house, room by room, for any sign of the 4 hotels' body. My heart ached with every step, every creak of the floorboards, and every groan of the old wooden beams. It was as if the house itself was mourning with me, its usual warmth and comfort now feeling cold and oppressive. The silence was deafening, punctuated only by the ticking of the clock on the wall and the distant hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen. Their favorite armchair, where they would sit and read, or watch TV with me, seemed empty and hollow. I ran my hand over the cushions, feeling for any sign of their presence, but there was nothing. I checked the bedroom, the kitchen, and every other room, but they were nowhere to be found. It was as if they had vanished into thin air. The TV was still on, the screen flickering with a static image of our last conversation. I approached it, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of... anything. I stood in the middle of the living room, feeling lost and alone. The shadows on the wall seemed to grow longer and darker, as if they were trying to reach out and grab me. I called out their names, Hilton Queen of Sheba, Royal Beach, Dan, and Herods, but there was only silence. I felt a lump form in my throat as I thought about the memories we had made in this house, the laughter, the tears, the countless nights spent cuddled up on the couch watching movies together. I searched the house again, this time more thoroughly. I checked every drawer, every closet, and every corner. But there was nothing. No sign of their body, no indication of where they might be. I felt a sense of desperation creeping in, my mind racing with thoughts of what could have happened to them. The thought of living without them was unbearable, and I knew I had to find their body, to give them a proper burial and say goodbye. As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the floor, I realized that I was not alone. I could feel it. A presence, watching me, waiting for me. The air seemed to vibrate with an otherworldly energy, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. I took a deep breath and tried to calm my racing thoughts. I would find them, I would find their body and give them a proper burial. But as I turned to leave the room, I saw something that made my blood run cold. A door creaked open by itself, the sound echoing through the house like a scream. I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. What was happening? Was someone - or something - trying to communicate with me? I took a step forward, my eyes fixed on the open door. And that's when I saw it. A faint light, flickering in the hallway. It was as if someone was calling to me, beckoning me to follow. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should investigate. But something inside me urged me to move forward, to follow the light and see where it led. As I stepped into the hallway, the light grew brighter, illuminating the space around me. I felt a chill run down my spine, but I didn't turn back. I had to know what was happening. The whisper seemed to grow louder, more insistent, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. "I'm here, Noa," it said again. This time, I was sure I wasn't imagining it. The voice was real, and it was coming from... them. I spun around, trying to locate the source of the voice, but there was no one there. Or was there? I took a deep breath and let my eyes scan the room, searching for any sign of... them. And that's when I saw it. A shadowy figure, standing just out of sight. My heart racing with excitement and fear, I took a step forward, and then another. Until I saw them. Or at least, I thought I did. A glimpse of a smile, a flash of eyes. And I knew that I was not alone. The presence seemed to be growing stronger, and I could feel its energy coursing through my veins. I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. I was frozen in place, unsure of what to do next. The whisper seemed to grow louder, more insistent. I felt a surge of hope and longing, mixed with fear and uncertainty. What did it mean? Was I really hearing their voice, or was it just my imagination playing tricks on me? I took another step forward, my heart pounding in my chest. "I'm here," I whispered, my voice barely audible. And then, I heard it again. "Find us, Noa. Find our body." I spun around, trying to locate the source of the voice, but it seemed to be coming from all around me. I knew then that I had to keep searching, had to keep looking for them. For their body. And for the truth. I steeled myself and began to move forward, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of what was happening. The voice seemed to be growing louder, more insistent, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. "I'm coming," I whispered, my voice shaking with emotion. "I'll find you, I promise." As I spoke, the presence seemed to grow stronger, and I could feel its energy coursing through my veins. I knew then that I was on the right path, that I would find the 4 hotels and bring them back home. And as I moved forward, I knew that I would never be alone again. The darkness seemed to be receding, and I could feel a sense of hope growing within me. I would find them, I would find their body, and I would bring them back home. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. And I began to search.
