**Chapter 14: A New Day Dawns**
Part 14
As they entered the kitchen, the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries enveloped them, and the sound of lively chatter filled the air. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, and Yoshi were all seated around the table, enjoying a hearty breakfast. The room was filled with the warm glow of morning sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a cozy ambiance over the gathering. "Good morning, you two!" Mario exclaimed, his mustache twirling upwards as he smiled. Luigi nodded in agreement, while Peach and Daisy exchanged warm greetings with Rosie and Caleb. "Good morning, everyone," Rosie said, her voice cheerful. "I hope you all slept well." Toad, always eager to share, piped up, "I slept like a rock! Yoshi and I had a great night's sleep." Yoshi nodded in agreement, his big, green eyes shining with happiness. Luigi chuckled, "I had a few nightmares about Goombas, but nothing too terrible." Mario playfully rolled his eyes, "You're always having nightmares about Goombas, bro." Caleb and Rosie took seats at the table, and as they did, Rosie glanced around at their friends. "I have to say, we had a bit of a late night," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Peach's curiosity was piqued. "Oh? What happened?" she asked, her voice filled with interest. Rosie turned to Caleb, her eyes meeting his. "Caleb really needed me yesterday," she said, her voice filled with affection. "He was struggling, but I always put a smile on his face, and I make him better. He makes me feel better too." The room fell silent, as their friends turned to look at Caleb, their faces filled with understanding and support. Caleb's cheeks flushed slightly, but he smiled, his eyes shining with gratitude. Mario, ever the gentleman, changed the subject, "Well, we should get going soon. We have a lot to do today." Luigi nodded in agreement, "Yeah, we need to start planning our next move. We can't let Bowser get the better of us." As they continued to chat and plan, Rosie leaned over to Caleb, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm always here for you, no matter what." Caleb's fingers intertwined with hers, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "I know, Rosie," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "And I'm always here for you too." The group continued to enjoy their breakfast, their conversation flowing easily as they made plans for the day ahead. With a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay in store for them.
