**A Trail of Discord**
Part 4
Korra, Mako, and Emily walked through the sleek, modern corridors of Future Industries, their footsteps echoing off the walls. They had managed to obtain a meeting with Dr. Zhang, and Korra was eager to learn more about his disagreements with Asami. As they approached Dr. Zhang's office, Korra could feel a sense of tension in the air. The door was slightly ajar, and she could hear the sound of raised voices coming from inside. Mako pushed the door open, and Korra stepped forward, her eyes scanning the room. Dr. Zhang was pacing back and forth in front of his desk, his face red with agitation. "I don't care what Asami says," he was saying to someone on the comms device in his hand. "I know that project is a disaster waiting to happen. We can't just ignore the safety protocols and rush it to market." Korra's eyes met Mako's, and she nodded slightly. This was definitely the kind of passion Emily had mentioned. Dr. Zhang's eyes flicked up, and he caught sight of Korra and her friends. His expression changed in an instant, from anger to wariness. "Ah, Korra," he said, quickly ending the comms call. "I wasn't expecting you. What can I do for you?" Korra smiled, trying to put Dr. Zhang at ease. "Dr. Zhang, we're looking into Asami's disappearance. We understand you had some disagreements with her about the sustainable energy project." Dr. Zhang's eyes darted back and forth between Korra and her friends, before finally settling on Korra's face. "Disagreements, that's one way to put it," he said, his voice laced with frustration. "Asami was pushing to move forward with the project, despite my warnings about the safety protocols. I told her it was a recipe for disaster, but she just wouldn't listen." Mako stepped forward, his eyes narrowing. "Can you tell us more about these safety protocols?" he asked. Dr. Zhang hesitated, glancing around the room nervously. "I'm not sure I should be discussing this," he said. "But... I think Asami may have been in over her head. She was getting pressure from... somewhere, I'm not sure where, to rush the project to market. But I knew it wasn't ready. And I think... I think that may have something to do with her disappearance." Korra's eyes locked onto Dr. Zhang's, her mind racing with possibilities. What did he mean by "pressure from somewhere"? And what did that have to do with Asami's disappearance? She leaned forward, her voice low and urgent. "Dr. Zhang, can you tell us more about the project and what you think happened to Asami?"
