Captured
Part 11
Nicole had been walking for what felt like hours, the darkness of the woods seeming to swallow her whole. She had been following Lena, who had taken the lead, navigating through the dense underbrush with ease. Rachel had taken the western path, as planned, and they were to meet up again in two days at the old ranger station. As they walked, the trees seemed to close in around them, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground. Just as she was starting to feel like they were getting close to their destination, Nicole heard a rustling in the bushes behind her. She spun around, her heart racing, and that's when she saw him - Coop, his eyes gleaming with triumph as he emerged from the darkness. Lena grabbed her arm, pulling her along, but it was too late. Coop had already seen her, and he was closing in fast. Nicole tried to shake off Lena's grip, but she held tight, yanking her back as Coop lunged forward. In a swift motion, Coop grabbed Nicole's arm, his fingers wrapping around her wrist like a vice. She tried to struggle, but he was too strong, and he dragged her back through the woods, away from Lena's outstretched hand. "Let me go!" Nicole shouted, kicking out at Coop's legs, but he just laughed, his grip tightening as he pulled her deeper into the woods. Finally, they emerged into a clearing, and Nicole's eyes widened as she saw a speedboat waiting on the shore of a nearby lake. Coop tossed her into the boat, following close behind, and then they were speeding across the water, leaving the darkness of the woods behind. As they approached a small island, Nicole's heart sank. She had a feeling she knew where they were going, and she wasn't mistaken. The boat docked on a private island, and Coop pulled her out, his arm wrapped around her waist. The island was heavily guarded, with men patrolling the perimeter, and Nicole knew she was trapped. Coop led her to a luxurious villa, complete with a private pool and a stunning view of the surrounding waters. "You can't keep me here," Nicole said, trying to struggle free, but Coop just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but I can," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "This island is private, and you're not going anywhere. You're going to stay here with me, until you're ready to tell me what I want to know." Nicole's heart sank as Coop released her, gesturing to a suite of rooms that seemed to stretch on forever. She was trapped, with no way to escape, and she knew she was in grave danger. She glanced around the room, taking in the lavish decorations and the stunning view, but it was all just a gilded cage. As Coop disappeared, leaving her alone, Nicole knew she had to think fast. She had to find a way to escape, before it was too late. But for now, she was at Coop's mercy, and she had a feeling that was a very bad place to be.
