"A Shift in Obsession"

Part 2

Gihun's eyes narrowed as he observed Daeho's behavior, a subtle yet noticeable change in his demeanor that sent a shiver down his spine. The formerly social and brave man was now fixated on Myung-gi, his gaze intense and unyielding, like a predator stalking its prey. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and Daeho's entire being was now focused on the young man with the black hair and brown eyes. Myung-gi, on the other hand, seemed increasingly uncomfortable, shifting in his seat as Daeho's eyes lingered on him. The group around them continued to ask Myung-gi personal questions, trying to get to know him better, but their words fell flat as Daeho's presence dominated the air. Gihun noticed that Myung-gi's eyes kept darting back to Daeho, a mixture of unease and curiosity etched on his face. He couldn't help but wonder what was going on in Myung-gi's mind, why he seemed so drawn to Daeho's intense gaze. Daeho, meanwhile, was lost in his own little world, his thoughts consumed by Myung-gi's beauty. He had never been this close to him before, and the proximity was intoxicating. His eyes roamed over Myung-gi's features, drinking in the sight of his youthful appearance, his black hair parted down the middle, and his brown eyes sparkling in the dim light. He couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement, of obsession, that he had never experienced before. As the group continued to chat, Gihun found himself growing increasingly uneasy. There was something off about Daeho's behavior, something that didn't quite add up. He glanced over at Young-il, who seemed oblivious to the tension, but Gihun knew better. He had seen this kind of obsession before, and it never ended well. Myung-gi, sensing the tension, tried to steer the conversation back to safer topics. "So, what do you guys think about the games so far?" he asked, his voice light and casual, but his eyes betrayed his unease. The group launched into a discussion about the games, their strategies and alliances, but Daeho's gaze never wavered. He continued to stare at Myung-gi, his eyes burning with an intensity that made Gihun's skin crawl. Junhee, who had been quietly observing the exchange, finally spoke up, her voice hesitant. "Myung-gi, I'm glad you're joining us. I...I didn't expect to see you here." Myung-gi's eyes flickered to Junhee, a mixture of surprise and guilt etched on his face. "Junhee? I...I didn't know you were here either." The air was thick with unspoken tension, and Gihun could sense the complicated history between the two. As the conversation continued, Gihun couldn't shake off the feeling that something was brewing, something that would change the dynamics of their group forever. And at the center of it all was Daeho, his eyes fixed on Myung-gi like a hawk on its prey, his obsession growing with every passing moment. The game may be over for now, but Gihun had a feeling that the real battle was just beginning, one that would test their alliances, their morals, and their will to survive.
