"A Moment of Interruption"

Part 60

As Mitsuba slowly pulled his chest away from Kou's, a string of saliva connected them, glistening in the dim light of the room. He smiled softly, his eyes still locked onto Kou's, as he sat up and began to button his shirt. The fabric rustled softly as he covered his bare chest, a gentle reminder of the intimacy they had just shared. Kou watched him with a lazy smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he propped himself up on his elbows. "You're so cute when you're getting dressed," he teased, his voice low and husky. Mitsuba rolled his eyes, his face flushing with a soft pink. "Shut up, Kou," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. As they sat together, enjoying the warmth and comfort of each other's presence, a loud cough echoed through the room. Mitsuba's eyes snapped towards the sound, his face paling in an instant. Kou's expression changed from relaxed to alert, his eyes scanning the room with a mixture of wariness and unease. The sound of the cough was followed by the rustling of footsteps, heavy and deliberate. Mitsuba's eyes locked onto Kou's, his gaze wide with fear. Kou's face had gone pale, his eyes frozen on some point behind Mitsuba. The air seemed to vibrate with tension as they waited for the person to come into view. The sound of footsteps drew closer, and Mitsuba's voice whispered Kou's name, barely audible. "Kou..." Teru's voice cut through the silence, his tone neutral but his eyes scanning the scene before him with a piercing gaze. Mitsuba's eyes dropped, his face a mask of shame and fear. Kou's expression remained frozen, his eyes fixed on Teru's face. The room seemed to hold its breath as Teru took in the scene before him. Mitsuba's shirt was still unbuttoned, his chest flushed with excitement. Kou's hair was mussed, his eyes still heavy with desire. The air was thick with the scent of intimacy and desire, a potent reminder of what had just transpired. Teru's gaze lingered on them, his expression unreadable. For a moment, the only sound was the heavy silence, punctuated only by the soft hum of the air conditioner. Then, without a word, Teru turned and walked away, leaving Mitsuba and Kou to deal with the aftermath of their interrupted moment.
