Chapter 5: The Unbearable Touch

Part 5

The Unbearable Touch As Sophie forced a smile onto her face, Mr. Jenkins' eyes seemed to gleam with excitement. He leaned forward, his hand reaching out to her. Sophie felt a shiver run down her spine as he touched her arm, his fingers wrapping around her skin like a vice. "You're a very talented young woman, Sophie," he said, his voice dripping with insincerity. "I'm glad we've come to an understanding." As he spoke, his hand slid up her arm, his fingers brushing against her shoulder. Sophie felt a wave of revulsion wash over her, but she didn't move. She couldn't move. Mr. Jenkins' hand continued to explore her body, his fingers trailing down her side, his thumb brushing against her nipple. Sophie felt a jolt of pain and disgust, but she kept her face neutral. She couldn't let him see how much he was affecting her. But then, his hand moved lower, his fingers probing at the pus-filled wound on her leg. Sophie felt a cry of pain and horror rising up in her throat, but she bit it back. She couldn't let him see her weakness. "Ah, I see you're still nursing that wound," Mr. Jenkins said, his voice dripping with curiosity. "That's too bad. But I'm sure it will heal quickly enough." As he spoke, his fingers continued to probe at the wound, sending shivers of pain and disgust through Sophie's body. She felt like she was going to be sick, but she kept her face neutral. She had to get through this. Mr. Jenkins seemed to be enjoying himself, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he touched her. Sophie felt like she was trapped in a nightmare, with no escape. She was at his mercy, and she knew it. As he continued to touch her, Sophie's mind began to wander. She thought about how she was going to get out of this situation, how she was going to escape from Mr. Jenkins' clutches. She thought about her friends and family, and how they would react if they knew what was happening. But for now, Sophie was trapped. She was trapped in a situation that seemed to have no escape, and she had to play along. She had to pretend to be okay with what was happening, no matter how much it hurt. As Mr. Jenkins finally withdrew his hand, Sophie felt a wave of relief wash over her. But she knew it was only temporary. She knew that this was far from over.
