## Chapter 1: "Behind the Scenes"

Part 1

The sun beat down on the movie set, casting a warm glow over the bustling crew. Helen Le, a talented and driven production assistant, moved with precision, ensuring every detail was perfect for the day's shoot. Her dark hair was tied back in a sleek ponytail, and her bright brown eyes were fixed on the task at hand. She had worked on numerous sets, but this one was particularly exciting – it was her first big-budget film, and she was determined to make a good impression. As she expertly managed the logistics of the set, Helen couldn't help but notice the commotion surrounding Lewis Pullman, the film's leading man. He was charming, handsome, and exuded a confident air that drew people to him like a magnet. Helen had seen it before, of course – the way actors could effortlessly command attention, the way they were always surrounded by admirers. She had always been a bit skeptical of that world, wondering if people like her – ordinary, behind-the-scenes types – were even noticed. Helen's thoughts were interrupted by her walkie-talkie crackling to life. "PA, we need you on set for camera checks," a voice called out. Helen nodded, even though she knew no one could see her, and made her way to the set. As she arrived, Lewis was already there, chatting with the director and a few crew members. He caught her eye and smiled briefly, but didn't seem to notice her beyond that. Helen felt a small pang of indifference; she was used to being invisible to the stars. She focused on her work, checking the camera angles and making sure everything was in place for the day's shoot. The director, a harried-looking man with a clipboard, called out to Lewis. "Alright, Lewis, let's get started. We're on a tight schedule today." Lewis nodded, took a deep breath, and launched into the scene. Helen watched, mesmerized, as he brought the character to life. She felt a flutter in her chest, and for a moment, she forgot to breathe. She quickly composed herself, reminding herself that she was here to work, not to fawn over the stars. But as she watched Lewis perform, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. There was something about the way he moved, the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled, that caught her attention. As the scene ended, Helen felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had been so focused on Lewis that she hadn't noticed the rest of the crew gathering around her. The director called out, "Alright, let's take a fifteen-minute break. We'll start again with the next scene." Helen used the break to grab a bottle of water and take a few minutes to herself. As she stood off to the side, sipping her water, she caught Lewis's eye again. This time, he held her gaze for a fraction of a second longer, and Helen felt a spark of electricity run through her body. She quickly looked away, chiding herself for being distracted. She was here to work, not to get tangled up in the drama of the set. But as she glanced back at Lewis, she couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity. Who was this charming, talented actor, and what lay beneath his charismatic surface? Little did she know, their paths would cross again and again, and she would find herself drawn into a world she never expected to be a part of. But for now, Helen simply smiled to herself, feeling a sense of excitement and possibility that she hadn't felt in a long time.
