Maya Hart had heard a lot about Chris Sumner's daughter, Riley, and her classmates had often mentioned how lucky she was to have such a cool and understanding parent. As she walked up the path to Chris's house, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She had been studying with Riley for a few weeks now, and they had finally decided to meet up at Chris's house to work on their English project. I've heard a lot about your... creative writing skills." Maya felt a blush rise to her cheeks as Chris gestured for her to take a seat. As they began to work on their project, Maya couldn't help but notice the way Chris's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. As the afternoon wore on, Maya found herself feeling more and more at ease in Chris's presence. She was surprised by how down-to-earth and relatable he was, and she found herself laughing and joking with him like they were old friends. As they took a break to grab some snacks from the kitchen, Maya stumbled and almost fell, and Chris caught her by the elbow to steady her.
