A Conversation with Aizawa-sensei

Part 26

Aizawa-sensei led me out of the common room, his piercing gaze scanning the hallway as if ensuring we were alone. Bakugo and Osby exchanged a concerned glance with me, but I just shrugged and followed Aizawa-sensei. We stopped in front of a vacant classroom, and Aizawa-sensei pushed open the door, gesturing for me to enter. I did so, my heart beating slightly faster as I waited for him to speak. As he closed the door behind us, I turned to face him, trying to appear calm. "Yes, sensei, did I do something wrong?" I asked, my voice firm. Aizawa-sensei's expression remained unreadable, but a hint of a smile played on his lips. "Not exactly, Vesper," he said, his voice low and measured. "However, I have received some... interesting reports about your abilities." I frowned, unsure what to make of his words. "Reports?" I repeated, trying to keep my tone neutral. Aizawa-sensei nodded, his eyes glinting with a hint of curiosity. "Yes, it seems that your... unique Quirk has been attracting attention from certain individuals." I felt a surge of unease, my mind racing with possibilities. What could he be referring to? And who were these individuals? "Who are these people, sensei?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. Aizawa-sensei's smile grew wider, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "That, Vesper, is need-to-know information. For now, let's just say that you have caught the attention of some... influential people in the hero world." I swallowed hard, feeling a sense of trepidation wash over me. What did this mean for me? And what kind of attention was I attracting? Aizawa-sensei's expression turned serious, and he took a step closer to me. "Vesper, I want you to be aware that you are not like the other students here. Your Quirk, your abilities... they set you apart. And with that comes a certain level of risk." I felt a shiver run down my spine as I met his gaze. "What kind of risk, sensei?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Aizawa-sensei's eyes seemed to bore into mine, as if searching for something. "The kind that could change everything, Vesper. The kind that could put you in the crosshairs of people who don't have your best interests at heart." I took a deep breath, trying to process his words. What was he trying to warn me about? And what did it mean for my future as a hero?
