"Fragile Threads"
Part 1
The beeping machines surrounding her bed pierced through the sterile hospital air, a constant reminder of Julie's fragile state. She lay still, her eyes fluttering open to the bright white ceiling. A wave of pain washed over her, making her grit her teeth. The doctor's words came flooding back: "You've suffered a severe knife wound, Julie. We're lucky to have gotten to you when we did." As her memories began to resurface, a mix of emotions swirled inside her. It had been three days since the incident. Three days since her life had changed forever. She was the head of security for the K-pop sensation BTS, and her primary charge was Min Yoongi, also known as Suga. For years, everything had gone smoothly, with no major incidents to speak of. That was until the threat had escalated. The events of that fateful night replayed in her mind like a broken record. The frantic calls, the screams, and the chaos. She had risked her life to get several of the members to safety, including Yoongi, RM, and Jimin. But in the process, she had been stabbed. Julie's gaze drifted to her bandaged arm, a stark reminder of the sacrifices she had made. She felt a surge of anger and frustration. Who could have done such a thing? And why had they targeted BTS? The door to her hospital room creaked open, and a gentle voice called out, "Julie, can you hear me?" It was Dr. Kim, her attending physician. "I'm glad to see you're awake. We've been worried about you." Julie tried to speak, but her voice came out hoarse. The doctor handed her a glass of water, and she took a sip, wincing as the liquid touched her parched throat. "What...what happened to the others?" she asked, her voice still shaking. "They're all safe, thanks to your quick thinking," Dr. Kim replied with a warm smile. "The police are still investigating, but it seems like a deranged fan was behind the attack. They're reviewing the security footage and interviewing witnesses." Julie's eyes narrowed. A deranged fan? It sounded too simple. She knew the K-pop world was filled with obsessive fans, but this seemed more calculated. "I need to see them," she said, her voice firm. "I need to know they're okay." Dr. Kim nodded. "I'll arrange for visits, but for now, you need to focus on recovering. You've lost a lot of blood, and we need to monitor your condition closely." Julie nodded, a sense of determination burning within her. She would recover, and she would make sure that whoever had done this would pay. She thought of Yoongi, his bright smile and kind heart. She had sworn to protect him, and she would see that promise through. As the doctor left her room, Julie's mind began to wander. She thought about the investigation, the fans, and the group's safety. Her eyes drifted shut, exhaustion taking over. But she knew she wouldn't rest until she had answers, and until she had ensured that BTS was safe once more.
