Chapter 36: The Aftermath of Feathers and Laughter
Part 36
The room was in shambles, pillows torn and feathers scattered everywhere. The remnants of our chaotic pillow fight still lingered in the air, a testament to the unbridled energy and excitement that had erupted just moments before. As I looked around, I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of my friends, all of whom were covered in feathers and sporting varying degrees of exhaustion. Mina, still grinning from ear to ear, clapped her hands together once more. "Alright, let's see who won!" she exclaimed, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for a winner. Todoroki, still holding his pillow, gave me a confident smile. "I'm the obvious winner," he said, his chest puffed out in pride. Bakugo snorted, shaking his head. "No way, I was the one who took down Kirishima with a single blow." Kirishima, rubbing his sore head, protested, "Hey, that was a cheap shot!" Izuku, sitting on the sidelines and watching the commotion with amusement, chimed in, "I think Mina was the real winner here. She was the one who came up with the idea and got us all riled up." Mina blushed, her eyes sparkling with pleasure. "Aww, thanks Izuku. But I think the real question is, who got closest to...you?" She raised an eyebrow, her gaze drifting to me. My face heated up with a blush as I realized that the prize was still up for grabs. I tried to play it cool, but my heart was racing with anticipation. Todoroki, still confident in his victory, took a step forward. "I'm the clear winner here. I was the one who chased you around the room, after all." I shook my head, trying to deflect attention. "I don't know, Todoroki. I think Mina had a few tricks up her sleeve." Mina's eyes locked onto mine, a mischievous glint in her gaze. "Oh, I think I can settle this once and for all," she said, a sly smile spreading across her face. With a flourish, she pulled out a small piece of paper from her pocket and unfolded it, revealing a crude drawing of the two of us. "I drew this during the fight," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Whoever is closest to the person in the picture wins." The room fell silent as we all gathered around to examine the drawing. Todoroki's face fell as he realized that the drawing depicted me and him, but with a large X marked through it. Mina, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear. "Looks like the winner is...Izuku!" she exclaimed, pointing to the drawing. Izuku's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at the drawing, which showed him hovering in the background, a small smile on his face. Todoroki and I both looked at him, confused. But before anyone could react, Mina pounced, flinging her arms around Izuku's neck. "Congratulations, Izuku! You get to be close to...the person in the picture!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. The room erupted into laughter as Izuku's face turned bright red. But little did we know, this was only the beginning of a series of unexpected events that would change everything.
