Chapter 1: A Chance Encounter
Part 1
The bright lights of the film set illuminated the faces of the crew and cast, all buzzing with excitement as they prepared for another long day of shooting. Helen Le, a skilled and seasoned production assistant, moved with ease through the chaos, her wavy hair bouncing with each step. She had worked on countless sets, but there was something about this one that had her feeling a little more on edge. Maybe it was the presence of Lewis Pullman, the rising star who was set to play the lead in the upcoming drama. Helen had heard of Lewis, of course. Who hadn't? He was charming, talented, and seemed to effortlessly command the attention of everyone around him. As she watched him warm up for the day's shoot, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of indifference. Actors like Lewis didn't usually notice people like her - the behind-the-scenes crew members who kept the show running smoothly. They were always surrounded by beautiful, glamorous people, and Helen didn't think she stood a chance of catching his eye. As she went about her day, Helen found herself stealing glances at Lewis, watching as he effortlessly took on his character's persona. She was impressed by his talent, but she pushed aside any thoughts of being drawn to him. She had work to do, and besides, she wasn't exactly the type of woman Lewis usually dated. The day wore on, with Helen expertly coordinating the logistics of the set, making sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule. Lewis, meanwhile, was in his element, taking direction and delivering lines with ease. Helen watched him from afar, admiring his skill, but keeping her distance. It wasn't until later that day, during a brief break in filming, that Helen and Lewis actually crossed paths. Helen was hurrying to grab a cup of coffee from the craft services table when she collided with Lewis, spilling coffee all over her shirt. "Oh no, I'm so sorry!" Lewis exclaimed, rushing to help her clean up the mess. Helen laughed and waved him off. "It's okay, really. I'm just a little clumsy sometimes." As they stood there, Lewis couldn't help but notice the way Helen's eyes crinkled at the corners when she smiled. She was cute, he thought, but she didn't seem to be fawning over him like everyone else on set. She simply smiled, apologized, and went about her day. Lewis was intrigued. He watched her from afar for the rest of the day, noticing the way she moved with confidence and poise. He made a mental note to try and talk to her again, to see if there was more to her than met the eye. Meanwhile, Helen couldn't shake the feeling that she had just been noticed by Lewis Pullman. She tried to brush it off, telling herself she was just being ridiculous. But as she went to bed that night, she couldn't help but feel a tiny spark of excitement. Had Lewis Pullman really just looked at her like that? And why did she feel like she was going to be seeing a lot more of him in the days to come? Little did she know, Lewis had already made a mental note to make sure he ran into her again soon. And as for Helen, she was about to find herself drawn into a world she never expected to be a part of - one that would change her life forever.
