A Night of Music and Laughter
Part 144
As the applause dies down, Mina's face lights up with excitement, and she bounces over to me, her eyes shining with curiosity. "Can you play instruments?" she asks, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. I chuckle, feeling a bit self-conscious about my musical abilities. "A little," I say, downplaying my skills. Mina's eyes sparkle with interest. "What can you play?" she presses, her brow furrowed with anticipation. I shrug, trying to appear nonchalant. "Guitar and drums," I say, trying to sound casual. Mina's face lights up like a lamp. "No way! Can you sing rock music?" she asks, her voice rising with excitement. I nod, feeling a bit more confident. "Yeah, I can give it a shot," I say, trying to sound cool. Mina's eyes gleam with mischief. "Sing one!" she exclaims, clapping her hands together in excitement. I hesitate for a moment, feeling a bit uncertain. "Uh, okay," I say, trying to stall for time. But Mina is already pulling out a guitar from the corner of the room, and thrusting it into my hands. "Come on, sing one!" she says, pushing me towards the center of the room. I take a deep breath, feeling a bit overwhelmed, but also strangely excited. I strum the guitar, feeling the familiar chords beneath my fingers, and start to sing. My voice is a bit shaky at first, but as I get into the song, I find myself losing inhibitions and letting the music take over. The room falls silent, with everyone watching me in rapt attention. I glance over at Sera, who is grinning at me with encouragement. Shinso is still staring at me with that lovesick expression, but I'm trying not to think about it too much. As I finish the song, the room erupts into cheers and applause once again. I breathe a sigh of relief, feeling a bit exhilarated. Maybe I can handle this music thing after all. Bakugo walks over to me, a grin on his face. "Not bad," he says, clapping me on the back. "You're a natural." Kirishima nods in agreement. "Yeah, you're pretty good," he says, his face serious. I blush, feeling a bit embarrassed but also pleased. Maybe I'm starting to find my place in this group after all. Deku comes over to me, bouncing with excitement. "Can you teach me how to play guitar?" he asks, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. I laugh, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "Maybe later, Deku," I say, trying to sound patient. But Deku is already pulling out his phone, and typing away on it. "I'll practice every day," he says, his face set in determination. "I'll be a rockstar just like you!" I chuckle, feeling a bit amused. Maybe this is going to be an interesting night after all.
