**Chapter 2: Behind Closed Doors**
Part 2
As they stepped out of the elevator, Korra's eyes adjusted to the dimly lit hallway, lined with sleek, silver doors that seemed to stretch on forever. The air was heavy with an eerie silence, and the soft hum of machinery only added to the sense of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach. The security guard led them to a door at the end of the hall, adorned with a discreet sign that read "Authorized Personnel Only." The guard knocked twice, and a low, smooth voice bid them enter. He stepped aside, allowing Korra and Mako to pass, and Korra's eyes locked onto the figure standing behind the large, polished desk. Hiroshi Sato, the enigmatic CEO of Future Industries, looked up from the holographic display projected in front of him, his expression a mask of calm concern. "Korra, Mako, please, have a seat," he said, gesturing to the chairs in front of his desk. Korra ignored the offer, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of Asami. "Hiroshi, I need to know what's happened to Asami. She was supposed to meet me hours ago, and no one has seen or heard from her since yesterday." Hiroshi's expression turned somber, and he leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. "I understand your concern, Korra, but I'm afraid I don't have any information about Asami's whereabouts. She was working on a project, and I haven't seen her since yesterday evening." Korra's eyes narrowed. "What project? And why is everyone being so secretive?" Hiroshi's eyes flicked to Mako, who shrugged, equally perplexed. "Korra, I assure you, we're doing everything we can to locate Asami. But I must insist that you respect our security protocols. We can't just allow anyone to wander around our facilities." Korra's face set in a determined expression. "I'm not leaving until I find out what's going on. And I have a right to know if Asami's in trouble. She's my partner, Hiroshi." The CEO's expression softened, and he leaned forward, his eyes locked onto Korra's. "Korra, I understand your concern, but I assure you, Asami is not in trouble. At least, not that I know of. But I do need to ask you to keep this conversation confidential. For now." Korra's eyes searched Hiroshi's face, trying to read between the lines. What was he hiding? And what did he mean by "for now"? Suddenly, the holographic display on his desk flickered to life, displaying a cryptic message: "Eclipse Protocol Engaged. Containment Breach Imminent." Korra's heart skipped a beat as Hiroshi's expression turned grim. "It seems we have a situation on our hands, Korra. One that requires your... unique skills." Mako's eyes widened, and he exchanged a worried glance with Korra. "What kind of situation, Hiroshi?" he asked, his voice low. Hiroshi's eyes locked onto Korra's, his expression serious. "I think it's time I showed you what's been going on. Follow me." With that, he stood up, and Korra and Mako followed him out of the office, into the unknown. As they walked, Korra's senses went on high alert, her eyes scanning the area for any sign of danger. She had a feeling that she was about to uncover something much bigger than she had ever imagined.
