Chapter 20: Caught in the Moment
Part 19
As I walked out of the building, my phone buzzed in my pocket, signaling an incoming text from Emily. I pulled it out and couldn't help but smile as I saw the photos she had sent me from her modeling shoot. She looked stunning in a white dress, her curves accentuated in every photo. I couldn't resist opening the messages she had received from her fans, and as I scrolled through them, my smile grew wider. The comments were endless, with men drooling all over her, making suggestive remarks, and asking her out on dates. I chuckled to myself, feeling a sense of pride and possessiveness. She was mine, even if it was just for a short time. As I stood there, lost in my own little world, I didn't notice my twin brother, Jimmy, approaching me. "Hey, why are you smiling like that at your phone?" he asked, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You look like Roman when he sees food." I looked up, feeling a flush rise to my cheeks. "Just looking at some photos," I said, trying to brush it off. Jimmy raised an eyebrow. "Photos, huh? Of who?" I hesitated for a moment before showing him my phone. He scanned the screen, his eyes widening in surprise. "Whoa, she's a looker," he said, whistling softly. "You've got a lot of admirers, bro." I rolled my eyes, feeling a twinge of annoyance. "Not my admirers," I said, trying to sound casual. "Emily's. She's doing some modeling work." Jimmy chuckled. "Oh, I see. Well, you've definitely got a fan club on your hands, bro. But don't worry, I'm sure you can handle it." I shook my head, feeling a smile spread across my face. "You're not helping, Jimmy." Jimmy grinned. "Hey, someone's got to keep you humble, bro. Now, come on, let's get going. We've got a match to win." As we walked towards the locker room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Jimmy. He had a way of cutting through the noise and getting to the heart of the matter. And right now, I needed to focus on my own match, not get caught up in Emily's online drama. But as I glanced down at my phone, I couldn't help but feel a pang of excitement at the prospect of hearing from her again.
