"A Hand to Hold"

Part 2

Julie's eyes fluttered open to find herself enveloped in a warm, comforting atmosphere. The beeping of the machines had slowed, and the room seemed quieter than before. As she turned her head, her gaze landed on a figure sitting beside her bed, their hand intertwined with hers. The sight made her heart skip a beat. The figure was none other than Min Yoongi, Suga, the very person she had risked her life to protect. His eyes, usually bright and full of life, now looked sunken and worried, with dark circles underneath. His hand, still holding hers, was warm and gentle. "Yoongi?" Julie's voice was barely above a whisper, her throat still sore from the previous day. Yoongi's head jerked up, his eyes locking onto hers. A mixture of relief and concern washed over his face as he smiled softly. "Julie, I'm so glad you're awake," he whispered, his voice trembling. "Please...be okay. We're worried about you." Julie's heart swelled with emotion as she felt a lump form in her throat. She tried to speak, but her voice cracked. Yoongi's grip on her hand tightened, and he leaned in closer. "I don't want to lose you," he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "I need you, Julie. You're more than just my security head; you're...you're family." Tears pricked at the corners of Julie's eyes as she looked at Yoongi, her mind reeling with the depth of his words. She had always known that her role went beyond just protecting him, but hearing him acknowledge it made her feel seen and appreciated. As she lay there, her hand entwined with Yoongi's, Julie felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she had to get better, not just for herself, but for the people who cared about her, especially Yoongi. With a gentle squeeze, Yoongi's hand replied, "Rest now, Julie. I'll be here. We'll get through this together." As the warmth of Yoongi's hand seeped into her skin, Julie's eyelids drooped, and she drifted off to sleep, feeling a sense of comfort and security she hadn't felt in days.
