**A False Awakening**

Part 50

Oikawa's eyes flew open, and he sat up with a start, his heart racing like a jackrabbit. The familiar surroundings of his dorm room came into focus, and he let out a shaky breath. It was just a dream, he told himself. Kageyama was safe, and he was being paranoid. He rubbed his temples, trying to massage away the lingering fear. The neon lights of the city outside seemed to pulse through his mind, casting an eerie glow over his thoughts. As he swung his legs over the side of the bed, his hand brushed against something – or someone. He spun around, his eyes scanning the room frantically, but there was no one there. He let out a nervous chuckle. Must have been his imagination playing tricks on him again. The darkness outside seemed to press in on him, making him feel claustrophobic. Oikawa stood up, still feeling a bit disoriented. He stumbled to the kitchen area, grabbing a bottle of water to quench his thirst. As he raised the bottle to his lips, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. His eyes looked sunken, and his hair was disheveled. He shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs. The sound of the water bottle opening seemed amplified in the silence. As he took a sip of water, he could have sworn he saw Kageyama standing behind him, his eyes black as coal. Oikawa spun around, but there was no one there. He let out a shaky laugh. Not again, he thought. He was seeing things. The room seemed to be playing tricks on him, like a funhouse mirror reflecting his deepest fears. He tried to shake off the feeling of unease, telling himself it was just his mind playing tricks on him. But as he turned back to the mirror, he saw the mysterious woman from his dream standing beside Kageyama. Her eyes seemed to be glinting with a malevolent light, and Oikawa's heart skipped a beat. The air in the room seemed to thicken, making it hard to breathe. He slammed his fist on the counter, trying to snap out of it. What was wrong with him? He was seeing things that weren't there. He needed to calm down, take a few deep breaths. The sound of his own ragged breathing seemed to be the only thing that brought him back to reality. But as he turned to walk away, he caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye – a figure, lurking in the shadows. Oikawa spun around, his heart racing, but there was no one there. The room seemed to be empty, except for the echoes of his own fears. He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. It was just his imagination, he told himself. He needed to get a grip. But as he turned back to his bed, he saw something that made his blood run cold – a piece of paper on his pillow, with a message scrawled on it in red ink: "I'm mine now." The words seemed to sear themselves into his brain, leaving him frozen in terror.
