"Darkness Descends"

Part 18

The man's grip on Ashley's arm was like a vice as he dragged her towards the cabin. She stumbled, her legs catching on the rough ground, but he didn't stop. He just kept pulling her, his grip unyielding. Finally, they reached the cabin door, and he pushed it open, revealing a dimly lit interior. Ashley was pulled inside, her eyes adjusting slowly to the darkness. The cabin was small, with a single room and a loft above. There was a fireplace in the center of the room, with a small fire burning. The man's grip on her arm didn't loosen as he pulled her towards a chair in the corner of the room. He spun her around, and Ashley found herself facing the chair. The man's hands were rough as he tied her wrists and ankles to the chair, the rope digging into her skin. Ashley struggled, but it was no use. She was trapped. The man's hands moved to her mouth, and Ashley felt a surge of fear as he ripped the duct tape off her lips. She cried out, the sound raw and hoarse from disuse. "Why?" she cried, her voice shaking with fear. "Why have you done this? What do you want from me?" The man stepped back, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. Ashley saw that he was tall, with a gaunt face and sunken eyes. He looked like a man who had been living in the woods for years, and Ashley's fear spiked. "I know nothing," she pleaded, her eyes welling up with tears. "I don't know what you want. Please, let me go." The man didn't respond. Instead, he turned and walked away, leaving Ashley tied to the chair. She watched him, her heart pounding in her chest. What was he planning? Why had he brought her here? As the minutes ticked by, Ashley's fear turned to despair. She was trapped, with no way to escape. She could only hope that Ryan would find her before it was too late. The man's voice came from the other side of the room, startling Ashley. "You'll tell me what I want to know," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Eventually, you'll tell me everything." Ashley's eyes widened as the man turned to face her. She saw something in his eyes, something that made her blood run cold. She knew she was in grave danger, and she could only pray that she would survive.
