**Chapter 1: Unspoken Emotions**

Part 1

Kenzy lay on her bed, engrossed in the pages of her favorite novel, a warm smile spreading across her face as she read about the hero's triumphant victory. Her long, curly brown hair cascaded down her pillow, and her bright green eyes sparkled with amusement. She was so absorbed in the story that she didn't even notice the door open, until she heard the soft creak of the floorboards beneath someone's feet. As she looked up, her eyes met Levi's piercing gaze, and her heart skipped a beat. He stood in the doorway, his lean figure framed by the dim light of the hallway, his short, dark hair perfectly messy. His eyes, an intense shade of gray, locked onto hers, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. "Hey, Levi," Kenzy said, trying to sound nonchalant, despite the flutter in her chest. She closed her book and set it aside, her eyes never leaving his face. Levi's expression was unreadable, as usual, but Kenzy detected a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Hey, Kenzy," he replied, his deep voice low and smooth. "I was looking for you everywhere." Kenzy raised an eyebrow, her smile growing wider. "And you found me," she said, gesturing to her bed, where she lay surrounded by pillows and blankets. Levi chuckled, a low, husky sound that made Kenzy's heart flutter. He walked into the room, his movements fluid and confident, and sat down on the edge of her bed. "I guess I did," he said, his eyes roving over her face. As they sat there, the air between them was charged with a familiar, unspoken tension. Kenzy and Levi had been partners in the Scout Regiment for years, and their banter had become a comfortable, familiar dance. But beneath the surface, Kenzy knew that there were feelings they both refused to acknowledge. She glanced away, trying to break the spell, and Levi's gaze followed her movement. Her eyes landed on the book lying open on her chest, and she felt a sudden urge to talk about something, anything, other than their unresolved emotions. "So, what brings you here?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Levi shrugged, his shoulders barely rising off the bed. "Just needed a break from the chaos, I guess," he said, his eyes drifting back to hers. Kenzy nodded, understanding. The battles against the Titans had been intense lately, and the pressure was taking its toll on all of them. As they sat there, the silence between them grew thicker, until Kenzy felt like she was drowning in it. She knew she had to say something, but her mind was a blank. "Levi?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah?" he replied, his eyes locked onto hers. Kenzy hesitated, unsure of what to say next. But before she could form words, Levi stood up, his movements sudden and decisive. "I'll leave you to your book," he said, his voice low and rough. Kenzy watched him go, feeling a pang of disappointment. She knew she had to talk to him, to tell him how she felt, but she was scared. What if he didn't feel the same way? As the door closed behind Levi, Kenzy let out a sigh and buried her face in her pillow. She had a feeling that her emotions were about to get the better of her...
