**Chapter 3: Work and Distractions**
Part 3
As they stepped into the Ministry of Magic, Tonks's eyes sparkled with excitement, and she squeezed Remus's hand. The familiar scent of old books and parchment wafted through the air, mingling with the hum of conversation and the soft rustle of robes. Remus smiled, feeling a sense of comfort in the familiar surroundings. Their first meeting of the day was with the Auror Office, and Tonks was practically bouncing with enthusiasm as they made their way to the conference room. Remus chuckled, shaking his head, and Tonks caught him staring, her eyes sparkling with mischief. As they took their seats at the table, Tonks leaned over to whisper something to Remus, her breath tickling his ear. Remus felt a flutter in his chest, and he tried to focus on the discussion at hand, but Tonks's presence was distracting. He couldn't help but steal glances at her, noticing the way her dark hair fell in loose waves down her back, the way her eyes sparkled with excitement. Throughout the meeting, Tonks continued to find excuses to touch Remus, her hand brushing against his as she reached for her notes, her knee touching his under the table. Remus tried to concentrate, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of awareness whenever Tonks was near. As the meeting drew to a close, Tonks turned to Remus with a smile. "What do you think?" she asked, her voice low and husky. Remus shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "I think we need to review the plans again," he said, his voice firm. Tonks nodded, her eyes sparkling with agreement. "I'll get the files," she said, her hand brushing against Remus's as she stood up. Remus felt a jolt of electricity at the touch, and he couldn't help but wonder if anyone else had noticed. As they made their way to the next meeting, Tonks slowed down, her grip on Remus's arm tightening. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her eyes looking up at him with adoration. "I just can't help it. I love being close to you." Remus smiled, his heart warming at her words. "I love it too," he replied, his voice low and husky. Tonks smiled back, her face lighting up with happiness. The rest of the day was a blur of meetings and discussions, but Remus couldn't help but feel distracted by Tonks's presence. He loved the way she made him feel, like he was the only person in the world. As they took a short break, Tonks leaned over to whisper something in his ear, her breath tickling his skin. Remus felt a shiver run down his spine, and he turned to her, his eyes locking onto hers. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the world around them melting away. Then, Tonks smiled, and Remus's heart skipped a beat. As they returned to their seats, Remus couldn't help but feel grateful for Tonks's clinginess. It was a reminder of her love and affection, and he wouldn't have it any other way. The fluorescent lights overhead seemed to hum in sync with Remus's racing heart, and he couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the day would bring. Tonks seemed to sense his unease, and she squeezed his hand, her eyes sparkling with reassurance. Remus smiled, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. With Tonks by his side, he knew that anything was possible. As they headed into their next meeting, Remus felt a sense of anticipation building inside him. He had a feeling that this day was going to be a lot more interesting than he had initially thought.
