"Trapped in Desire"
Part 8
Our eyes remained fixed on the camera, the reality of our situation slowly sinking in. Sae-byeok's face turned pale, her eyes wide with fear as she realized the extent of our exposure. I felt a wave of panic wash over me, my mind racing with the implications of what had just happened. Without a word, Sae-byeok pulled away from me, her movements jerky and awkward as she tried to gather her scattered clothes. I watched her, feeling a sense of disconnection, as if I was observing the scene from outside my body. My own clothes were still tangled around my legs, but I didn't bother to pick them up. I just stood there, frozen, as Sae-byeok hastily dressed herself. As soon as she was decent, she turned to me, her eyes flashing with anger and fear. "We have to get out of here," she whispered urgently, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the door. I didn't resist, letting her lead me out of the room. We moved swiftly and silently, our footsteps echoing down the hallway. I couldn't shake the feeling that we were being watched, that the camera had triggered some kind of alarm. As we turned a corner, Sae-byeok stopped suddenly, her head cocked to one side. "Do you hear that?" she whispered. I listened, and after a moment, I heard it too - the sound of footsteps, growing louder with each passing second. Sae-byeok's eyes locked onto mine, and I knew that we were in trouble. Without a word, we took off running, our footsteps pounding the floor as we sprinted down the hallway. We didn't dare look back, fearing what we might see. This was happening every other hour, whenever we got the chance to be alone. It was as if our desire was a trigger, a signal that we couldn't resist. And now, it seemed that we were trapped in some kind of twisted game, with no escape in sight. Sae-byeok yanked me into a doorway, and we paused, panting, as the footsteps approached. We waited, holding our breath, as they passed by, but I knew it was only a matter of time before we were caught again. The cycle would repeat itself, and we would be forced to indulge in our desire, only to be torn apart again. I looked at Sae-byeok, and saw the same fear and frustration reflected back at me. We were trapped, and I had no idea how to escape. All I knew was that we had to keep running, keep hiding, and hope that somehow, someway, we would find a way out of this twisted game.
