Chapter 1: Reunion at UA

Part 1

The sun beat down on the sprawling campus of U.A. High School, casting a warm glow over the bustling students and faculty. Eraser Head, aka Aizawa Shota, stood outside the staff room, sipping his coffee and scanning the crowd with a practiced air of detachment. As a veteran teacher and one of the most respected instructors at the prestigious academy, he was used to being in control, to being the steady hand that kept his students grounded. But as he scanned the crowd, his gaze landed on a figure that made his heart skip a beat. Rae, the chaotic woman who had once turned his life upside down, was standing by the staff room door, chatting with a group of colleagues. Her purple hair was a vibrant splash of color amidst the more subdued tones of the faculty, and her thick black-framed glasses glinted in the sunlight as she laughed. Aizawa's eyes narrowed, his grip on his coffee cup tightening as he felt a flutter in his chest. It had been years since they'd parted ways, and yet the memories of their tumultuous relationship still lingered, refusing to be erased. As if sensing his gaze, Rae looked up, her eyes locking onto his with a spark of recognition. A slow smile spread across her face, and she excused herself from her colleagues, weaving through the crowd with a confident air that bordered on recklessness. Aizawa felt his composure slipping, his mind racing with the memories of their time together. They had been polar opposites, he and Rae - he, the steady and dependable one, and she, the chaotic force of nature who had swept into his life and turned it upside down. It had been exhilarating and exhausting, a rollercoaster ride of emotions that had ultimately left him breathless and heartbroken. As Rae approached him, Aizawa's instincts screamed at him to retreat, to maintain a safe distance from the whirlwind that was Rae. But his feet seemed rooted to the spot, unable to move as she drew closer. "Shota," she said, her voice husky and confident, as she stopped in front of him. "Long time no see." Aizawa's response was gruff, a nod of acknowledgement that barely qualified as a greeting. Rae laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief, and reached out to touch his arm. "I see you're still as charming as ever," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm teaching here now. I'm on the staff." Aizawa's gaze flicked to her, his eyes searching for any sign of the old Rae, the one who had driven him crazy with her antics and her passion. And then, as if he hadn't seen her in years, he felt it - that jolt of attraction, that spark of connection that had always been there between them. "Welcome to UA," he said, his voice a little softer now, a little more... hopeful. Rae grinned, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Thanks, Shota. It's great to be back." As they stood there, the tension between them palpable, Aizawa couldn't shake the feeling that Rae's return was going to stir up a whole lot of trouble, trouble that he wasn't sure he was ready for. But as he looked into her eyes, he knew that he was already in too deep, that he couldn't stay away from her, no matter how much he wanted to.
