"An Unexpected Encounter"

Part 2

Young-il sat with his group, trying to blend in as they ate the plain meals provided by the game organizers. The food was bland, a far cry from the 5-star dishes he was used to, but he knew it was necessary to maintain his disguise. As Jungbae and Daeho chattered away, Young-il's gaze was fixed on Gihun, trying to read him. What was his strategy? What were his strengths and weaknesses? Young-il's top guard had provided him with a detailed report on Gihun, but he wanted to see it for himself. As he studied Gihun, Young-il's mind wandered to the task at hand. He needed to keep a close eye on Gihun, but also make sure he didn't reveal his true identity. The game was full of uncertainties, and Young-il couldn't afford to make a mistake. Just as he was getting lost in thought, a commotion broke out across the room. Players 230 and 124 were harassing player 333, a young man with striking features. Young-il's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the pretty boy. He had never seen anyone like him before. The man's eyes seemed to sparkle, even from a distance, and his features were chiseled, as if he had been carved out of marble. Young-il was captivated, his attention drawn to the young man like a magnet. The mom in his group gasped, and Young-il's gaze snapped back to the scene unfolding before him. Players 230 and 124 were beating up player 333, and it seemed like no one was intervening. Without thinking, Young-il stood up, his voice booming across the room. "Hey, leave him alone!" The room fell silent, and all eyes turned to Young-il. Players 230 and 124 stopped their attack, sneering at Young-il. "Mind your own business, grandpa," one of them said, but Young-il wasn't having it. He strode towards them, his eyes flashing with anger. "I am minding my business," he said, his voice cold. "I'm making sure you two don't bully someone who's weaker than you." Player 230 snarled, taking a step forward, but Young-il was ready for him. With a swift movement, he took down player 230, and then turned to player 124, who was trying to sneak up on him. A quick jab to the jaw, and player 124 crumpled to the floor. The room erupted into applause, and Young-il turned to the young man he had just rescued. He extended his hand, helping him to his feet. "Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes locked on the man's. The young man's eyes sparkled as he took Young-il's hand, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Young-il felt a jolt of electricity run through him, and he quickly released the man's hand, trying to compose himself. "Y-yes, thank you," the young man stuttered, his eyes still locked on Young-il's. Young-il smiled, trying to put the man at ease. "You're welcome," he said. "I'm Young-il. And you are...?" The young man's eyes flickered, and for a moment, Young-il thought he saw a glimmer of fear. But then, the man's expression smoothed out, and he said, "I'm Myung-gi." Young-il's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. Who was this Myung-gi, and what was his story? He was determined to find out.
