**Chapter 1: The Unforeseen Calamity**

Part 1

The crisp air of the outside world whipped through my hair as I stood atop Wall Rose, gazing out at the desolate landscape beyond. As a member of the Survey Corps, I had grown accustomed to the chill of the wind and the ever-present threat of Titans lurking in the distance. My eyes drifted to Hange Zoë, my beloved boyfriend and squad leader, as he surveyed the horizon with a keen eye. I had been his trusted assistant for months now, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and comfort in his presence. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape, when a sudden commotion erupted from the west. "Titan sighting!" someone shouted, pointing towards the horizon. I followed their gaze and my heart sank as a colossal figure emerged from the distance. Bertholdt Fuber, one of the most formidable Titans in the world, was making his way towards Wall Rose. Hange's eyes locked onto the Titan, his expression grim. "Everyone, prepare for battle!" he shouted. I instinctively moved to his side, ready to follow his orders. But before we could react, Bertholdt suddenly burst into a sprint, his massive body propelling him towards the wall with incredible speed. Hange and I exchanged a worried glance, and in that moment of hesitation, disaster struck. Bertholdt slammed into the wall, causing a massive explosion that sent debris flying everywhere. I reacted on instinct, pushing Hange out of the way just as the wall gave way beneath us. I felt a searing pain in my chest as I was knocked off the wall, the world around me spinning into chaos. As I struggled to breathe, I became aware of a sharp object lodged in my chest - the Thunder Spear, Bertholdt's deadly projectile. My vision began to blur, and I felt myself falling... Everything went dark. When I came to, I was lying on the ground, Hange's worried face hovering above me. He had somehow managed to reach me despite the chaos around us. His hands were pressing against my chest, trying to stem the bleeding. But as he looked down at me, his expression changed from concern to shock. His eyes widened, and he whispered, "Levi... you're... you're pregnant." My breathing grew weaker, and Hange's face contorted with worry. He quickly wrapped a bandage around my chest, trying to stabilize me. Then, with a swift motion, he intubated me using an endotracheal tube, his hands moving with a precision that belied his panic. As my body went limp, Hange gently wrapped a warm, wet blanket around me, mimicking the comfort of a mother's womb. I felt a strange sense of calm wash over me, despite the agony in my chest. Hange's eyes never left mine as he injected a strange liquid into my vein - the Titan spinal fluid, I realized dazedly. It was a desperate measure, one that might save my life. "Hange...?" I tried to whisper, but my voice was barely audible. With a swift glance at his squad, Hange barked orders, his voice firm and commanding. "Prepare to transport my girlfriend immediately! She's in critical condition, and she's also pregnant!" The world around me began to fade away once more, but I knew I was in Hange's care. And with that knowledge, I felt a fragile sense of hope...
