Remus was reading a book, lying on his side, trying to focus on the words, but his eyes kept drifting towards Tonks, who was sleeping beside him. She was curled up in a ball, her wild, blonde hair spread out around her like a halo. Her gentle snores and the soft rise and fall of her chest were soothing, and Remus couldn't help but smile as he watched her. Just as he was getting lost in her peaceful expression, Tonks suddenly rolled over, snuggling close to him. Her arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him into a tight embrace. Remus felt a surge of warmth and affection as her face nuzzled into his chest. "We have to wake up, darling," Remus said, trying to gently pry Tonks's arms off him. He had to get up early for a meeting with Dumbledore, and he knew Tonks had a busy day ahead of her as well, what with her Auror training and all. Tonks mumbled something incoherent, her voice muffled against his chest. Her legs entwined with his, holding him close. Remus chuckled, feeling a little trapped but happy to be so. "No, you're so comfy," Tonks whispered, her breath tickling his skin. Her wind-swept hair rustled as she moved, carrying the scent of the outdoors into their cozy bedroom. Remus laughed softly, trying to disentangle himself from her grasp. "I know, I know, but we really can't sleep all day, love. Responsibilities and all that." Tonks merely squeezed him tighter, her grip surprisingly strong for someone so petite. Remus smiled, enjoying the warmth and closeness. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as he tried to think of a way to gently coax her awake. As they lay there, Remus became aware of the quiet morning sounds of the house, the distant chirping of birds outside, and the soft hum of the coffee maker in the kitchen. It promised to be a lovely day, especially with Tonks by his side. But as the moments passed, Remus knew they couldn't stay in bed forever.
