**Chapter 14: The Darkness Descends**
Part 14
The Darkness Descends As the room plunged into darkness, I felt a surge of panic. "Wait, what are you doing?!" I exclaimed, my voice shaking slightly as I tried to take a step back, but my legs felt rooted to the spot. Shigaraki's laughter echoed through the darkness, his voice seeming to come from all around me. "Just a little demonstration, Vesper," he said, his tone dripping with amusement. "A taste of what we can do, and what you can do, if you join us." The darkness seemed to grow thicker, more oppressive, and I could feel it pressing in on me from all sides. I tried to raise my hands to defend myself, but they felt heavy, as if they were weighed down by an invisible force. Suddenly, a faint blue glow flickered to life in the distance, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Dabi was standing by the wall, his eyes fixed intently on me as he manipulated the flames that danced in his hands. The flames grew brighter, casting a sickly light over the room, and I could see that Bakugo was still struggling against his restraints, his face twisted in a snarl of anger and frustration. Shigaraki took a step closer to me, his eyes glinting with excitement. "You see, Vesper, we have the power to manipulate the very fabric of reality," he said, his voice dripping with enthusiasm. "And with your help, we can achieve greatness." I tried to speak, to protest, but my voice caught in my throat. The darkness seemed to be closing in on me, suffocating me, and I felt like I was running out of time. Dabi took a step forward, his flames dancing higher, casting flickering shadows on the walls. "Let's show her, Shigaraki," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Let's show her what we're capable of." Shigaraki nodded, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "Yes, let's show her," he repeated, his eyes fixed intently on me. And with that, the room erupted into chaos, the darkness seeming to come alive as the flames danced higher, casting a maelstrom of light and shadow over everything. I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare, with no escape, and no way to stop the horrors that were unfolding around me.
