**Chapter 2: A Busy Day Ahead**

Part 2

As they prepared for their busy day at the Ministry of Magic, Tonks couldn't shake off the sleepiness that still lingered in her eyes. She yawned, stretching her arms over her head, and Remus couldn't help but notice the way her dark hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night. He smiled, feeling a pang of affection for his clingy girlfriend. Tonks caught him staring and smiled back, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "What?" she asked, her voice husky with sleep. Remus chuckled, shaking his head. "Just admiring the view," he said, his eyes roaming over her face. Tonks blushed, looking away as she began to get dressed. Remus watched her, his heart warming at the sight of her in her Ministry-issued robes. She looked stunning, her curves accentuated by the fitted fabric. As they made their way to the kitchen for breakfast, Tonks snuggled up close to Remus, wrapping her arm around his waist. "I'm not ready for a busy day," she complained, her voice muffled against his side. Remus laughed, stroking her hair. "I know, my love, but we have to get going. We can't be late for our meetings." Tonks pouted, but Remus could see the spark of amusement in her eyes. She was always like this in the mornings, clingy and affectionate, and he loved every minute of it. As they sat down to eat, Tonks leaned in close, her face inches from Remus's. "I'm glad we're doing this together," she whispered, her breath tickling his ear. Remus smiled, his heart skipping a beat. "Me too, my love," he replied, his voice low and husky. The rest of their breakfast was a blur of quiet conversation and stolen glances. Tonks couldn't help but touch Remus whenever she passed by him, her fingers brushing against his arm or shoulder. Remus didn't mind, though - he loved the way she made him feel, like he was the only person in the world. As they finished up and headed out the door, Tonks snuggled up close to Remus, her arm still wrapped around his waist. "I'm ready for whatever the day brings," she said, her voice filled with confidence. Remus smiled, feeling a surge of love for his girlfriend. "Me too, my love," he replied, squeezing her hand. The walk to the Ministry was a pleasant one, the sun shining down on them as they strolled through the quiet streets of London. Tonks chattered on about her plans for the day, her eyes sparkling with excitement, and Remus listened, entranced by her enthusiasm. As they approached the Ministry, Tonks slowed down, her grip on Remus's hand tightening. "I don't want this day to end," she whispered, her eyes looking up at him with adoration. Remus smiled, his heart warming at her words. "It won't, my love," he replied, squeezing her hand. "We'll get through it together, and then we can go home and relax." Tonks smiled back, her face lighting up with happiness. "That sounds like a plan," she said, her voice filled with excitement. Remus chuckled, feeling a sense of anticipation for the day ahead. With Tonks by his side, he knew that anything was possible.
