A Family of Six

Part 93

The next morning, Jacquie woke up feeling a little sore but otherwise great, considering she had given birth to triplets just a day ago. Noah was sitting beside her, holding her hand and smiling at her. "Good morning, mom of three," he said, his voice filled with amusement. Jacquie laughed, wincing slightly at the pain in her stomach. "Good morning, dad of three," she replied, her voice still a little hoarse. Just then, the nurse came in with a big smile on her face. "I have some visitors for you," she said, nodding towards the door. Jacquie's eyes lit up as she heard the chatter and giggles of her other three children, Ellie-mae, Mya, and Ava, as they entered the room. Ellie-mae, 12, was beaming with excitement, Mya, 7, was bouncing up and down with anticipation, and Ava, 2, was clinging to her mother's hand, taking in the new surroundings. "Mommy!" Ellie-mae exclaimed, rushing over to Jacquie's bedside. "We brought flowers!" She held out a big bouquet of colorful balloons and flowers. Jacquie's eyes welled up with tears as she hugged her big girl. "I'm so glad you're here, sweetie," she said, her voice filled with emotion. Mya and Ava followed close behind, chattering excitedly about the new babies. Mya rushed over to the bassinet and cooed over the tiny babies, while Ava climbed up onto the bed and gave Jacquie a big hug. "I wuv you, Mommy," she said, planting a sloppy kiss on Jacquie's cheek. Noah helped the kids take turns holding the babies, and Jacquie couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her big kids being so gentle and careful with their new sisters. Ellie-mae was fascinated by the babies' tiny features, Mya was captivated by their tiny hands and feet, and Ava just wanted to give them lots of kisses. As the visit went on, Jacquie realized that she was a little worried about how the kids would adjust to the new additions to the family. But seeing them all together, she knew that they would be just fine. They were a big, loud, and loving family, and they would make it work. As the kids said their goodbyes and promised to come back soon, Jacquie felt a sense of gratitude and love for her family. She knew that this was just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and she was excited to see what the future held.
