Chapter 42: Tides of Forever

Part 42

The gentle lapping of the waves against the boat's hull was the only sound that broke the silence between them as they stood wrapped in each other's arms. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over the water, and Yoongi and Julie were lost in the magic of their moment. As they pulled away from each other, gasping for air, Yoongi smiled and brushed a strand of hair behind Julie's ear. "I think it's time we got back to the village," he said, his voice husky with emotion. "The elderly man will be wondering what's become of us." Julie nodded, still feeling the warmth of Yoongi's kiss on her lips. As they made their way back to the benches, the elderly man looked up from his rowing, a knowing glint in his eye. "I think I'll take you back to the village now," he said, his voice low and soothing. "You two have a lot to celebrate, and I'm sure you won't want to be late for dinner." As the boat glided across the water, Yoongi and Julie sat together, holding hands and watching the sun dip below the horizon. The sky was ablaze with color, a breathtaking sight that they both knew they would never forget. When they arrived at the village, the elderly man helped them ashore, and Yoongi turned to Julie, his eyes shining with excitement. "I have a special dinner planned for us tonight," he said, his voice low and husky. "Something to celebrate our love." Julie's heart skipped a beat as she smiled, her mind racing with possibilities. "I love surprises," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Yoongi grinned, and took her hand, leading her through the winding streets of the village. They walked in silence, the only sound being the soft crunch of gravel beneath their feet. As they turned a corner, Julie caught sight of a beautifully decorated table, set on the beach overlooking the sea. The table was laden with all manner of delicious-looking dishes, and a small fire crackled and spat in the center of the table, casting a warm glow over everything. Yoongi smiled, and pulled out a chair for Julie, his eyes shining with excitement. "Welcome to our special dinner," he said, his voice low and husky. "I hope you like it." Julie's eyes widened as she took in the spread before her. There were all manner of seafood delicacies, as well as steaming bowls of rice and vegetables. In the center of the table, a small cake sat on a pedestal, adorned with candles and a small crystal pendant that matched the one Yoongi had given her earlier. As they sat down to eat, Julie couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment, and for the love that Yoongi had shown her. She reached out, and took his hand, her eyes locking onto his. "This is perfect," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm so happy, Yoongi." Yoongi's face lit up with a radiant smile, and he squeezed her hand. "I'm happy too, Julie," he said, his voice low and husky. "I love you." Julie's heart swelled with emotion, and she smiled, knowing that this was just the beginning of their journey together. As they sat there, watching the stars twinkle to life in the night sky, Julie knew that she would never forget this moment, and the love that they shared.
