**Chapter 11: A New Beginning**
Part 11
As David gazed at their newborn baby, he felt a wave of emotions wash over him. He was overwhelmed with love, pride, and gratitude, all mixed together in a potent cocktail that left him breathless. He looked at Daisy, who was beaming with joy, her eyes shining with tears, and felt his heart swell with adoration. The doctor and nurse were busy with the baby, checking vital signs and taking readings, but David couldn't tear his eyes away from Daisy. He leaned in, gently kissing her forehead, and whispered, "You're an amazing mom, Daisy. I'm so proud of you." Daisy smiled, her eyes never leaving the baby. "We make a good team, don't we?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The nurse smiled and handed David a pair of scissors. "Time for the cord cutting," she said, and David took the scissors, his hands shaking slightly as he cut the umbilical cord. As the doctor and nurse finished up their tasks, David couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the tiny, perfect little being lying in Daisy's arms. The baby was small, but robust, and let out a tiny wail as the doctor gently suctioned out its lungs. "Meet Emily," the doctor said, smiling, as he placed the baby in Daisy's arms. Daisy looked up at David, her eyes shining with tears. "I love her," she whispered. David smiled, his heart overflowing with love. "Me too," he said, as he gently stroked Emily's soft hair. As the hospital room fell silent, except for the sound of Emily's gentle cries, David and Daisy sat in stunned silence, gazing at their newborn baby. They were parents now, and nothing would ever be the same again. Rachel, who had been quietly observing from the corner of the room, smiled and stepped forward. "May I hold her?" she asked, and Daisy nodded, handing Emily over to Rachel. As Rachel cradled Emily in her arms, she looked at David and Daisy with tears in her eyes. "You two are going to be amazing parents," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. The three of them sat in silence for a moment, basking in the glow of new life and new beginnings. Then, David spoke up, his voice filled with excitement. "We need to call our families," he said, pulling out his phone. "They're going to be so excited to meet Emily." Daisy nodded, smiling, and David began dialing, his face lighting up with joy as he shared the news with their loved ones. As he talked, Daisy leaned back, feeling exhausted but exhilarated, with Emily snuggled up close to her chest. As they waited for their families to arrive, David and Daisy sat together, gazing at their baby, and knew that their lives would never be the same again. They were parents now, and they were ready to take on the world, one tiny step at a time.
