New Faces and Familiar Smiles
Part 1
The sun had barely risen over the sprawling campus of U.A. High School, casting a warm glow over the students as they bustled about, chatting and laughing with one another. In the midst of this lively scene, a new student stood out - not for his exceptional abilities or striking features, but for his evident discomfort. Hitoshi Shinsou, a transfer student from General Studies, looked like a fish out of water as he clutched his schedule and gazed around at his new classmates. A month into the school year, and the students of Class 1-A had already formed tight-knit groups and friendships. The atmosphere was lively, with everyone chatting and getting along, except for one person - the newcomer. Hitoshi's eyes darted about, taking in the unfamiliar faces, as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. Meanwhile, Malakai Kagami, a charismatic student with a mop of dark brown hair and sapphire blue eyes, lounged against his desk, observing the new student with interest. His eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled to himself, intrigued by Hitoshi's obvious unease. Malakai's gaze lingered on Hitoshi, but he didn't make a move to approach him, content to simply watch from afar. As the students began to settle in, Jirou Kurousaka, Malakai's close friend and confidante, strolled over to him, a bright smile on her face. "Hey, Kaga! What's up?" she asked, using the nickname she and Malakai had shared for years. Malakai grinned, pushing his earbuds back into his ears. "Not much, Jirou. Just enjoying the show," he replied, nodding toward Hitoshi, who was still trying to find his seat. Jirou followed his gaze and chuckled. "Poor guy looks lost. We should go say hi." Malakai shrugged, but before he could respond, their teacher, Aizawa Shouta, strode into the classroom, his eyes scanning the room. "Alright, everyone! Settle down. I trust you've all met our new classmate, Shinsou Hitoshi?" The class fell silent, with all eyes on Hitoshi, who looked like he was about to bolt. Aizawa continued, "Hitoshi-kun will be joining us from General Studies. I'm sure you'll all make him feel welcome." As Aizawa began to take roll call, Malakai couldn't help but sneak glances at Hitoshi, who seemed to be shrinking into himself. He made a mental note to keep an eye on the new student and maybe, just maybe, try to make him feel more at ease. Across town, in a cozy living room, Mic Aizawa and Hizashi, affectionately known as Sho and Zashi to each other, sat on the couch, discussing their day. Mic, also known as Eraser Head, smiled as he listened to Hizashi's tales of his students' antics. Their adopted daughter, Eri, a rambunctious seven-year-old, played quietly on the floor, building a tower with blocks. "I'm sure Hitoshi will fit right in, Sho," Mic said, using Hizashi's nickname. Hizashi smiled, scratching Eri behind the ears. "I'm a bit worried, though. He's been through a lot, and this transfer might be tough on him." Mic wrapped a reassuring arm around Hizashi's shoulders. "He'll be fine, Zashi. We've raised him to be strong and resilient. Besides, he's got you and me to support him." As the Erasermic family shared a warm moment, Hitoshi, the young student with a complicated past, began his journey at U.A. High School, surrounded by new faces, and one person who would soon become very special to him. In the classroom, Aizawa's voice continued to drone on, but Malakai's attention remained fixed on Hitoshi, a spark of curiosity igniting within him. Little did he know, this chance encounter would set off a chain of events that would change his life, and Hitoshi's, forever.
