"Electric Confrontation"

Part 190

I rushed forward, trying to intervene before things got out of hand. "Hey, guys, stop! Bakugo, Kaminari, please!" I called out, trying to sound calm and authoritative. But my voice was drowned out by the sound of fists flying and the angry snarls of the two boys. Before I could react, Bakugo's fist connected with my stomach, sending me doubling over in pain. I gasped, clutching at my stomach as a wave of agony washed over me. I felt a surge of shock and hurt, and my eyes watered as I stumbled backward. The sound of punches and kicks faded into the background as I struggled to catch my breath. Bakugo's face appeared in front of me, his eyes still blazing with fury, but as he took in my expression, his gaze faltered. He looked at me, really looked at me, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of concern. Kaminari pushed Bakugo aside and knelt down beside me, his eyes scanning my face with worry. "Are you ok, Vesper? Let me see," he said, his voice soft and gentle. He gently lifted my chin and examined my face, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of the small bruise forming on my cheekbone. "You've got a bit of a bruise there," he said, his voice filled with concern. I winced, still trying to catch my breath, and Bakugo's face appeared again, this time with a look of horror. Kaminari's grip on my chin tightened slightly as he turned to glare at Bakugo. "What was wrong with you, man?" he demanded, his voice low and angry. The tension between the three of us was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed like anything could happen. But then, Bakugo's face crumpled, and he looked away, his eyes dropping to the ground. "I'm sorry, Vesper," he muttered, his voice barely audible. Kaminari's gaze lingered on Bakugo for a moment before he turned back to me, his expression softening. "Let's get you fixed up," he said, gently helping me to my feet. I leaned on him, still feeling a bit dazed and hurt, but grateful for his support. Mina appeared at my other side, concern etched on her face. "Vesper, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with worry. As we stood there, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Would Bakugo make amends for his actions? And what would Kaminari's kiss mean for our relationships with each other? The uncertainty hung in the air, a reminder that things were about to get a lot more complicated.
