"Trapped"
Part 13
As she came outside to get in Alex's car, Charlie felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally safe, finally free from Travis's grasp. But her relief was short-lived, as she heard the sound of screeching tires and saw Travis's car pull up behind them. Her heart sank as Travis got out of his car, his eyes fixed menacingly on Alex. Travis walked towards Alex, his fists clenched, and Charlie's breath caught in her throat as she realized what was about to happen. Travis pulled Alex from his car and began to beat him, punching him repeatedly in the face and body. Alex tried to defend himself, but he was no match for Travis's brute strength. Charlie watched in horror as Alex crumpled to the ground, blood streaming from his nose and mouth. Travis stood over him, his chest heaving with rage. "If you tell anyone about this, if you even think about coming near Charlie again, I'll kill you," he spat, his voice dripping with malice. Alex groaned, trying to get up, but Travis kicked him again, sending him crashing to the ground. Charlie felt a scream building in her throat, but she was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak. Travis slowly walked over to her, his eyes glinting with triumph. He reached out and took her bag from her hand, his fingers closing around it like a vice. Charlie stared at him in shock, her mind reeling with fear. "Get in," he said, his voice low and menacing, as he nodded towards his car. Charlie felt a surge of adrenaline as she realized she had to get away, but her legs seemed rooted to the spot. Travis took a step closer to her, his eyes glinting with impatience. "Get in, Charlie," he repeated, his voice dripping with menace. Charlie felt a wave of fear wash over her, and she slowly began to move towards Travis's car, her heart heavy with foreboding. As she reached the car, Travis opened the door for her, his eyes never leaving hers. Charlie felt a sense of desperation wash over her, and she knew she had to think fast if she was going to escape. But for now, she seemed trapped, with no way out. With a sense of resignation, she got into the car, her eyes fixed on Travis's face, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty.
