The Shadow of the Past

Part 4

The group's eyes widened as Ona approached them, a mixture of concern and curiosity etched on their faces. Korra's hand instinctively went to her metal staff, her senses on high alert. "Where's Asami?" Korra demanded, her voice firm and commanding. Ona hesitated, glancing around nervously before responding. "Avatar Korra and friends-" she began, but Korra cut her off. "Where's Asami?" Korra repeated, her tone growing more urgent. Ona took a deep breath before speaking. "Asami is...safe, for now. But I'm here to warn you, Korra. The person who sent the message is not someone to be trifled with. They're powerful, and they will stop at nothing to get what they want." Mako stepped forward, his eyes blazing with intensity. "What do they want?" he asked, his voice low and even. Ona hesitated again, her eyes darting between the group. "I'm not entirely sure," she admitted. "But I think it has something to do with the package Asami found. The one she took with her." Korra's eyes narrowed. "What package?" she asked, her mind racing with possibilities. Ona's expression turned grim. "I don't know all the details, but I know Asami was investigating something big. Something that could put her in grave danger." Bolin spoke up, his voice laced with concern. "Ona, can you tell us more about what's going on? What's happening to Asami?" Ona's eyes locked onto Korra's, a sense of determination burning within them. "I can take you to her," she said. "But you have to be careful. We're not the only ones looking for Asami. There are others who will stop at nothing to get to her first." Korra's grip on her staff tightened. She was ready to do whatever it took to find Asami and keep her safe. "Let's go," she said, her voice firm and resolute.
