Rescue
Part 5
The fishing boat rocked gently on the waves as Iduna clung to the blanket wrapped around her shivering form. The sailors, a grizzled group of men with weathered faces and calloused hands, moved around her with a quiet efficiency, their eyes filled with a deep concern. They had pulled her from the sea, and now they were taking her back to shore. As she sipped the hot tea they offered her, Iduna felt a warmth spread through her chilled bones. The sailors told her that they had seen no signs of the ship or its passengers. Iduna's heart sank, and she felt a sob well up in her throat. She had survived, but Agnarr... Agnarr was gone. The thought of facing Elsa and Anna, of telling them that their father was gone... Iduna felt a shiver run down her spine, and she knew that she had a long and difficult road ahead of her. She thought back to the moments before the shipwreck, when Agnarr had wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. She remembered the feel of his warm breath on her skin, the sound of his voice in her ear. Iduna's eyes welled up with tears as she realized that she might never see him again. The sailors tried to comfort her, offering words of condolence and support. Iduna appreciated their kindness, but she couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that had settled in her chest. As the boat headed back to shore, Iduna wrapped her arms around herself, feeling a sense of loss and grief wash over her. Her brown hair, done up in a coronet braid, was now disheveled and wet, but she didn't care. She was alive, but her world had been shattered. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the water. Iduna saw the outline of the Arendelle coastline, and her heart ached with a mix of sadness and longing. She felt a pang of sadness, knowing that she would have to face her daughters soon. The boat docked, and Iduna was helped ashore. She stood on the deck, her eyes scanning the familiar landscape. The palace loomed in the distance, its turrets and spires shining in the fading light. Iduna took a deep breath, her heart heavy with grief. She knew that she had to be strong, for Elsa and Anna's sake. She squared her shoulders, her eyes fixed on the palace, and began the long journey back to her daughters, and a new reality without Agnarr by her side. The darkness closed in around her, and Iduna let the tears flow, mourning the loss of the man she loved, and the life they had shared. But she knew that she had to keep moving forward, no matter how hard it seemed. She had to be there for her daughters, to support them and guide them through the difficult times ahead. And so, with a sense of determination and courage, Iduna began her journey back to the palace, and a new chapter in her life. As she walked towards the palace, Iduna felt a sense of trepidation. What would she tell Elsa and Anna? How would they react to the news of their father's death? Iduna knew that it wouldn't be easy, but she steeled herself for the task ahead. She was the queen, and she had to be strong for her daughters. The palace doors opened, and Iduna was greeted by the warm glow of candles and the concerned faces of her servants. They rushed to her side, offering comfort and support, but Iduna knew that she had to be the one to tell Elsa and Anna about their father's death. She took a deep breath, her heart heavy with grief, and made her way to the chambers where her daughters waited. Iduna knew that her life would never be the same again, but she was determined to face the future with courage and strength, for the sake of her daughters, and for the kingdom of Arendelle.
