Tensions and Revelations
Part 11
"Osby, calm down, it's fine," I said, trying to reason with him. "Anyways, why are you so ticked off?" I asked, genuinely curious about his reaction. Before Osby could respond, Mina jumped in, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Maybe he likes you?" she suggested, her voice barely above a whisper. She giggled, and I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. There's no way he would like me, I thought to myself, trying to brush off the idea. But before I could respond, Osby's eyes locked onto mine, and he said, his voice low and even, "You know I can hear what you think, right?" I felt my face flush even more, and I looked away, trying to hide my embarrassment. But when I glanced back at Osby, I was surprised to see that he was red as a tomato, his eyes wide with a mix of shock and embarrassment. Mina burst out laughing, her eyes shining with amusement. "Oh my, this is priceless!" she exclaimed, holding her sides. I stared at Osby, unsure of how to react. I had never seen him like this before, so flustered and vulnerable. For a moment, I forgot about the tension between us and just felt a pang of sympathy for him. "Osby, I..." I started to say, but he cut me off, his voice still shaking with embarrassment. "Never mind, just... never mind," he muttered, turning away from us. "I need to go." As he stalked off, Mina turned to me, still giggling. "Well, I think it's clear that someone has a crush," she whispered, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, trying to play it cool, but my mind was racing with thoughts of Osby and what he might be feeling. Was it possible that he actually liked me? And what did that mean for our friendship? I looked at Mina, who was still grinning at me. "Don't even think about it, Mina," I warned her, trying to head off any speculation. But Mina just chuckled and nudged me playfully. "I'm not saying anything, but I think it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. I sighed, feeling a sense of trepidation about what was to come. Little did I know, things were about to get a lot more complicated.
