**Chapter 2: Moonlit Reflections**

Part 2

As the moon rose high in the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the desolate landscape, Hange and I sat in comfortable silence, watching the stars twinkle to life above us. The titan hatchlings within me had settled down, their movements slowing as they sensed the calm atmosphere that had settled over our camp. Hange's hand still rested on my pouch, her fingers gently tracing the contours of my swollen belly. I closed my eyes, feeling the warmth of her touch spread through me, and let out a contented sigh. The tension in my body eased, and I felt my mind begin to wander. I thought about the mission ahead, about the unknown dangers that lurked beyond the walls, and about the uncertain future that lay before us. But with Hange by my side, I felt a sense of reassurance that I hadn't felt in a long time. Hange's voice broke into my thoughts, her words soft and gentle. "Do you think we'll ever be able to find a way to coexist with the Titans?" she asked, her eyes fixed on the horizon. I opened my eyes, gazing out at the darkness beyond our camp. "I don't know," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "But I do know that we'll keep trying, no matter what." Hange nodded, her eyes sparkling with determination. "We will," she said. "We'll find a way, somehow." As we sat there, lost in our own thoughts, the sound of footsteps echoed through the night air. I tensed, my hand instinctively going to the dagger at my belt. Hange's eyes locked onto mine, a questioning glance passing between us. The footsteps grew louder, and a figure emerged from the darkness. It was Levi, our squad's resident genius and deadliness incarnate. His eyes scanned our campsite, his gaze lingering on my pouch before he nodded in greeting. "Sorry to interrupt," he said, his voice low and even. "But I think I've found something." Hange's eyes lit up with interest, and she stood up, her hand on Levi's arm. "What is it?" she asked, her voice filled with excitement. Levi's eyes gleamed with intensity as he pulled out a small notebook from his pocket. "I've been analyzing the data we collected during our last mission," he said. "And I think I've found a pattern." I stood up, my curiosity piqued. "A pattern?" I repeated. Levi nodded, his eyes locked onto mine. "Yes. I think the Titans are not as random as we thought. They're following a specific route, one that seems to be linked to the walls." Hange's eyes widened in surprise. "That means they might be trying to communicate with us," she exclaimed. Levi's expression turned grim. "Or they might be trying to breach the walls," he said. "Either way, we need to investigate further." As Levi's words hung in the air, I felt a shiver run down my spine. The implications were huge, and I knew that our mission had just become a lot more complicated. But with Hange by my side, and Levi's genius guiding us, I felt a sense of determination rise up within me. We would uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
