New Beginnings Five years had passed since Ashley had texted Karen, agreeing to come over for dinner. So much had changed since then. Ashley had started taking classes at a local community college, studying to be a dental hygienist. She had graduated two years ago and was now working at a dental clinic, making a decent living and providing a stable home for Theo. Theo was now 5 years old and starting kindergarten. Ashley couldn't believe how fast he was growing up. Ashley felt a spark of excitement as she read his texts. She couldn't wait to see him again and see where things might go.
