**New Beginnings**
Part 1
The sun was setting over the Miami skyline, casting a warm orange glow over the vibrant city. Dorothy and Lucas sat on their balcony, sipping champagne and reminiscing about their five years together. Their anniversary was a milestone, and they had decided to celebrate in style. As they gazed out at the ocean, Dorothy couldn't help but feel grateful for her life. She had found her perfect match in Lucas, a kind and loving husband who supported her in every way. They had built a comfortable home, filled with laughter and love. Their evening was filled with pleasant conversation, and the girls were invited over for a celebratory dinner the following night. Sophia, Rose, and Blanche were all excited to join in the festivities, and Dorothy was looking forward to sharing stories about her and Lucas's adventures together. The next evening, the girls gathered at Dorothy's house, bearing gifts and good wishes. Sophia presented them with a beautifully crafted picture frame, engraved with the words "Happy Anniversary." Rose brought a delicious homemade cake, and Blanche contributed a stunning bouquet of flowers. As they sat around the dinner table, sharing stories and laughter, Dorothy felt like the luckiest woman in the world. Her friends, her husband, and her life in Miami all combined to create a sense of contentment and happiness. But little did Dorothy know, her life was about to take a dramatic turn. As she raised her glass to toast their anniversary, she felt a slight wave of fatigue wash over her. She brushed it off as exhaustion, attributing it to a long day at work. Lucas, noticing her yawn, suggested they call it an early night, and Dorothy agreed. As they retired to their bedroom, Dorothy couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She had been feeling a bit tired for a few days, but she had written it off as stress or a virus. It wasn't until she was getting ready for bed that she noticed something else – a slight tenderness in her breasts. Dorothy pushed the thoughts aside, telling herself she was being paranoid. After all, she and Lucas had been careful, and she was on birth control. But as she drifted off to sleep, a tiny voice in the back of her mind whispered that something might be amiss. The next morning, Dorothy woke up feeling a bit more refreshed, but the fatigue lingered. She went about her day as usual, working and running errands, but the voice in her head refused to be silenced. It wasn't until she was getting ready for her annual doctor's appointment that she realized she had missed her period. Dorothy's heart skipped a beat as she thought about the possibility. Could it be? She pushed the thought aside, telling herself she was being ridiculous. But as she headed to the doctor's office, a sense of trepidation settled in the pit of her stomach. What would the doctor say? Was she really pregnant? The questions swirled in her mind as she waited for her appointment, her heart racing with anticipation. Little did she know, her life was about to change in ways she never could have imagined.
