A Sudden Pain in the Sun's Family

Part 2

Days passed since Solara's usual check-in with her planets, and all seemed calm in the Solar System. Mercury was still his usual busy self, zipping around the Sun at incredible speeds. However, unbeknownst to him, a small collision had occurred beneath his surface. It was a minor event, but it would soon have significant consequences. As Mercury continued on his orbit, he started to feel a growing sense of discomfort. His expression changed, and a furrowed brow replaced his usual mischievous grin. Venus, who was nearby, noticed the change in his demeanor. "Mercury, is everything alright?" Venus asked, concern etched on her face. "You look a bit...off." Mercury hesitated, unsure of what was happening. "I...I don't know," he replied, his voice laced with uncertainty. At first, it was just a dull ache, but soon the sensation grew in intensity. It felt like a burn on his surface, spreading rapidly across his skin. Mercury's eyes widened in shock as the pain intensified. "Ahh!" he cried out, his voice rising to a wail. "It's burning! Oh, it's burning so much!" Solara, who had been watching from a distance, immediately rushed to Mercury's aid. She could sense his distress and knew she had to act fast. Her rays intensified, trying to comfort Mercury as she approached him. Venus followed closely behind Solara, her face etched with worry. "Mercury, what's happening?" she asked, but he was beyond answering. Solara reached Mercury and enveloped him in her warm, soothing light. "Don't worry, Mercury," she said. "I'm here. I'll help you. Just hold on." As Solara tried to ease Mercury's pain, Venus hovered nearby, unsure of what to do. The usually energetic and fast-paced Mercury was now writhing in agony, and it was heartbreaking to watch. The burning sensation continued to intensify, and Mercury's cries grew louder. Solara did her best to alleviate his suffering, but it was clear that something was seriously wrong. The small collision beneath Mercury's surface had triggered a chain reaction, and it would take more than just Solara's warmth to fix the problem. As the situation continued to unfold, the other planets began to take notice. They watched with concern as Solara and Venus tried to help Mercury, wondering what could be causing his distress. Little did they know that this was just the beginning of a series of events that would change the Solar System forever.
