A Fragile Exterior

Part 3

As Kaden lay in bed, he couldn't help but think about Jane's figure, and he was surprised to find that she had rather magnificent forms for such a fragile girl. He had expected her to be petite and delicate, but as he glanced over at her, he saw that she had curves in all the right places. He felt a sudden jolt of attraction, and he was taken aback by his own reaction. Jane, on the other hand, was trying to calm down, to quiet the storm that had been brewing inside her. She had expected Kaden to be angry, to lash out at her, but as she lay there, she felt a sense of unease wash over her. She was surprised to see that Kaden was no longer glaring at her, his eyes no longer flashing with anger. Instead, he seemed to be...watching her. As she turned over, trying to get comfortable, Kaden's eyes landed on her back, and he was surprised to see a tattoo there. It was a small, delicate design, but it was beautiful, and it seemed to shimmer in the dim light of the room. He felt a sudden urge to reach out, to touch the tattoo, to explore the curves of her body. Jane, sensing his gaze, felt a shiver run down her spine. She was aware of Kaden's eyes on her, and she felt a sense of vulnerability wash over her. She tried to ignore him, to pretend that she hadn't noticed, but she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. As she lay there, she found herself calculating the distance between them, her mind wandering to the cubes of his chest, trying to distract herself from the tension that seemed to be building between them. She was surprised to find that she was actually interested in him, that she was curious about the man who had been her husband for so long. Kaden, sensing her gaze, turned over onto his side, his eyes locking onto hers. He smiled, a small, teasing smile, and Jane felt her heart skip a beat. She had expected him to be angry, to continue the argument, but instead, he seemed to be...teasing her. "You're a lot more interesting than I thought you'd be," he said, his voice low and husky. Jane felt a flush rise to her cheeks, and she looked away, trying to hide her reaction. She didn't know how to respond to Kaden's sudden change in demeanor, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for whatever lay ahead. But as she lay there, she couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. She knew that Kaden was a man who could hurt her, who could manipulate and control her. But she also knew that she couldn't stay frozen in fear, that she had to take a step forward, to see what the future held. As the night wore on, Jane found herself relaxing, just a little. She was still on guard, still wary of Kaden's intentions, but she couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity. What would happen next? Would Kaden continue to tease her, or would he finally reveal his true intentions? Only time would tell.
