**The Full Moon's Fury**
Part 1
The full moon was hectic as Tonks went downstairs to check on her lover Remus. She had been dreading this moment for weeks, knowing that the full moon would bring out the beast in him. She had heard stories, of course, but she had never actually seen Remus in his werewolf form before. As she entered the kitchen, she was met with a sight that made her heart skip a beat. Remus was on all fours, his legs transformed into thick, furry werewolf legs. His arms, however, were still human, albeit with werewolf paws instead of hands. A pair of pointed ears sat atop his head, and a long, fluffy tail swished back and forth behind him. His eyes, once a warm, gentle brown, had turned a piercing yellow. The moment he saw Tonks, Remus's eyes locked onto hers, and he took off running towards her on all fours. Tonks's heart racing, she stood her ground, unsure of what to expect. Remus launched himself at her, jaws wide open, and bit down on her jacket. Luckily, she had been wearing a thick coat, and Remus's teeth sank into the fabric instead of her skin. "Hey, no! Let go! Come on, drop it!" Tonks exclaimed, trying to pry Remus's jaws open. Remus was shocked by her reaction, and he immediately let go of the jacket, his eyes wide with alarm. He glared at her dramatically, his tail tucked between his legs. "Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe next time I should just let you bite my arm off," Tonks said, trying to lighten the mood. Remus's expression softened, and he approached Tonks on all fours, his eyes taking on a puppy-like quality. Tonks couldn't help but laugh. "I accept your apology. Now, sit," Tonks said, trying to sound firm. Remus glared at her, growling softly, but eventually lowered himself into a partial sitting position. His back wasn't quite flat on the ground, but it was a start. "Sit," Tonks said again, her voice gentle. Remus obliged, his bottom touching the floor, and Tonks rewarded him with scratches behind the ears. His tail began to wag, and a goofy, albeit creepy, smile spread across his face. Tonks leaned in, nosing her nose against Remus's. "Mooney, sorry. Mooney bad," Remus said, his voice cracking as he suddenly fell onto his stomach, whimpering like a puppy. Tears began to stream down his face. Tonks's heart melted at the sight of her usually stoic lover, reduced to a sniffling, sobbing mess. "What, no, no, no, no, baby! You're not bad," Tonks said, scooping Remus into a tight hug. "You're not bad, honey. I promise you, my love. You just have something you can't control." Remus's tail wagged weakly as Tonks held him close. His body shook with sobs, and Tonks could feel his tears soaking into her shoulder. "You're my good boy," Tonks whispered, her own tears starting to form. "But... but I bad," Remus repeated, his voice muffled against Tonks's chest. Tonks held him close, trying to comfort him as he cried. She knew it would take time for Remus to adjust to his new form, to learn to control his transformations, and to come to terms with the monster he became under the full moon. But for now, she was just grateful to have him in her arms, safe and sound. Or, at least, as safe and sound as a werewolf could be.
