"A Dark Reflection"

Part 6

Victoria slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was still sitting on the hospital bed, wearing the same low-cut tee she had on earlier. But something felt off. The room was dark, and the machines that had been beeping and whirring around her were now silent. She rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the haze of sleep, but when she opened them again, the darkness remained. A sense of unease crept over her as she tentatively swung her legs off the bed. Her feet dangled in the air, and she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. She waited for it to pass, her hand grasping the bed for support. As she looked around, she realized that the hospital room was eerily quiet. The only sound was the soft hum of the ventilation system. Victoria's gaze landed on the mirror that had been against the wall, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. She approached it cautiously, her footsteps slow and deliberate. As she stood in front of the mirror, she saw her reflection staring back at her. But it was not the same reflection she had seen earlier. Her neck was bleeding profusely, and she could see the dark crimson spreading down her chest and into her cleavage. Victoria's hand instinctively went to her throat, but when she touched her skin, she felt nothing. There was no blood, no wound, no tenderness. But the reflection in the mirror told a different story. The bleeding seemed to be oozing down her skin, and Victoria felt a sense of morbid fascination. She couldn't look away, even though a part of her was screaming to turn away from the gruesome sight. The reflection showed her throat torn open, and she could see the dark shadows of her veins and muscles underneath. Victoria's mind reeled as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing. Was this some kind of hallucination? A nightmare? But the reflection seemed so real, so vivid. She could see every detail, every drop of blood. And yet, when she touched her own skin, it felt normal. She took a step back, her heart racing in her chest. What was happening to her? Why was this reflection showing her this? Victoria's eyes remained fixed on the mirror, unable to tear herself away from the gruesome sight. She felt like she was trapped in some kind of twisted dream, and she wasn't sure if she was going to be able to wake up.
